Interesting share price action- looks very similar to bot trying to push down the price to let the IIs buy in!

I found the replacement cycle and maintenance needs of telco masts interesting.
Maybe we dont have that problem here as the uk is criss-crossed with power lines.
They are not focussing on Europe so no prob there but interesting that the market is both ahead of us and clearly more well developed in Oz. Perhaps a peek at what RedT will be like soon?

Redflow Australia are about a third more expensive, I believe they need taking offline every week or so for maintenance, not sure if that's true or not, read it somewhere I'll find it later.

Still not really direct competition, they initially aimed for home market but tesla knocked them out on pricing and they've had problems along the way.

On a fully installed cost basis I suspect we can compete at 2 hour duration, rent that electrolyte and quids in.

Cheek - agree does sound like policy change in clear favour of flow machines.

Centrica project now 2 weeks under belt, financial times will no doubt be reporting when completed, hopefully others as this is a huge project from our biggest utility company.

Thaba project being installed as of yesterday.

Get these running I suspect that pipeline will get some closure.

I had a quick scan of the actual capacity market document on the BEIS website last night and it almost felt like Scott had been advising the government when writing it. They had clearly picked up that longer storage periods were required and that Lithium wasn't the product to provide it due to degrading - about that only things missing were the actual words 'Vanadium Flow machines' but these are clearly the answer to improving the framework. Only a matter of time before this blows in my opinion.

I know it's not really a mystery that the Sp isn't rising, order book needed etcetera. But redt volume is simply well , et, red.You can't I think buy off the bid on this stock. And why would those who bought at 8 want out.Perplexed of W12.

It's difficult to scale lithium to a decent grid level. Heat dissipation becomes a problem. You can always solve problems, but you introduce inefficiences and cost. And when you have millions of cells wired together, just a few failing will affetc the overall efficiency quite a bit, and of course with millions you're going to get individual failures, more and more a stime goes on. I was very surprised when musk gave his guarantee to the aussis the other week, and look forward to how his big storgae battery works in practice. It just seems beyond the sensible operating regime of lithium to me. Lithum is a game changer for things like phones, any small device really and cars though, so it has a massive application area. Another application is as a front end on a flow battery to give almost infinite storage of energy together with periods of very high power delivery.

I think that lithium investments are too mature, almost commodity, these days, and the possible high reward speculation is in other storage technologies, like flow and particularly flow/lithium hybrids.

We are cheaper on long energy duration? 4 hours energybstorage looks about optimal for what's being suggested, that's VRB.

If they can rent the electrolyte we are much cheaper.

If you buy a lithium battery and aim to supply leccy at peak times you'll get less money now cos the government has twigged you might not help for long enough.
