15/6/2018 09:37 | Worth re-reading the disposal RNS again - the software division's performance over the last 12-20 months has been very strong and this is not a marginal part of the current business. in the latest results, software represented 37% of EBITDA. With much lower overheads, it may not be too long until the company is in healthy profit. | bignads

15/6/2018 09:16 | the market cap is now exactly what Excel IT are paying for their % of Redstone . | ts99
15/6/2018 09:10 | Don't think Braund is software guy. Recruitment prior to reds. Did the restructure and now need more tech focus | ade45
15/6/2018 09:10 | I was always impressed by MB and he was one of the reasons I bought into REDS. His specialty appeared to be turnaround/rescue situations. I thought with cash in the bank and the strategy being to grow the business and acquire earning enhancing bolt on's that MB would have seen the future as exciting. It does sound like a clash of ideas at the top. Disappointing, but will see what progress is made over the coming months. The balance sheet more than covers the current market cap, so little downside unless the cash is spent terribly. I need to look into the new CEO's background, as in the current situation the management/bod is key as being able to likely gauge the future performance of REDS | haywards26
15/6/2018 09:04 | I have picked up a few. | spooky
15/6/2018 09:02 | I think the share price reaction comes from shock about the timing and fear that the company doesn't know what its doing. However, in some ways, this is a good thing. We now have a company with a fresh new start, a new CEO with considerable expertise in SaaS and digital companies (check out his CV) and buckets of cash. Ideally, we'll get an up-beat AGM message later today and then some contract wins in the coming weeks to show that the strategy is working. | bignads
15/6/2018 08:51 | Smells a bit like a clash of ideas at the top. Avoid imo | owenski
15/6/2018 08:50 | well the market is not taking it kindly any comment from anyone! | ali47fish
15/6/2018 08:40 | Strange, about the only thing stopping me from buying them was Mark Braund, he goes which i personally think is good news, and the shares are in freefall. | spooky
15/6/2018 08:28 | Part of the attraction of REDs was MB's track record, and now he's going and in essence, no share holder value has been delivered to date, in fact quite the opposite. Appreciate the logic behind the structural changes but RED need to prove the model works, and from reading the bump, my interpretation is it's still early days for a 'new smart building' take up. The company has become quite unstable and risky ATM even if the balance sheet looks good, that cash can soon diminish without decent sustainable profits. MB leaving is a bombshell, as such I think I'll avoid this for now. Surprised they even bothered to pitch at Mello if this was lurking in the background, not impressed. | owenski
15/6/2018 07:56 | out of blue shock really - maybe much of his work now done ? but tad odd , hhmm wonder if he's been offered another job didn't expect him to depart for some time having talked this co up alot (over the longer term) at least he doesnt have any shares really to sell (which I had noticed before) | value viper
15/6/2018 07:30 | does this have any significance- does that mean Mark is actually leaving- if so why no reason given? | ali47fish
15/6/2018 07:14 | So MB steps down with immediate effect. I did wonder about him presenting at Mello the day before today's General Meeting. I also watched the day's trades yesterday which initially saw some buying but then some late selling. Assuming he did still present David (or anyone else who attended), was there any hint of this coming? | gleach23
12/6/2018 10:54 | Just to remind you all that REDS will be presenting at our MelloSouth event in Hever,Kent this Thursday 14th June and all shareholders and potential investors are welcome to attend REDS have never presented at our Mello events before and we are very pleased to welcome Mark Braund the CEO who will no doubt explain the reasoning behind the recent announcement. This is an ideal opportunity to meet the management and hear about their new strategy. Do come and join us at this quality event and there will be at least 25 other companies to meet plus some fabulous keynote speakers and a large number of fund managers presenting and on panel sessions. | davidosh
11/6/2018 14:06 | Bought more today After what has been a very traumatic number of years where we have taken the business from crisis to stabilisation we have now reached another important junction in the RedstoneConnect journey. The disposal of the Systems Integration and Managed Services business brings to an end the restructuring of the Group. From here we see a very exciting future where we build a business which is focused on high margin annuity revenues with significant international growth potential.
