19/5/2015 08:31 | www.redhallgroup.co. De-leveraged and better focused now on higher margin business. Engineering and contracting exposure down and a new management team delivering on a strategic recovery plan. Good luck all and please do your own research. | value viper
18/5/2015 15:01 | think I'm gonna start a new thread for (hopefully) a cleaner slate and an improved future ; I had hoped a year ago (post Vivergo) that might have been the case and it wasn't to be ; trying again (yes Upside Potential was my old handle). | value viper
15/5/2015 18:04 | Hello Value Viper. I am certainly not negative:in fact I devote a considerable amount of time weighing up the pros and cons of investing here. My strategy is though one of "all in",and in that light the risk is a little too evident.I do hope that it comes good for you though and in a nice big way. You may or may not be interested but my current portfolio is 100% STL. I am very excited about its future growth, having been well briefed,as the only PI, at the AGM yesterday. Good luck, mud. | mudbath
15/5/2015 12:54 | Bodes well I suppose. The fund who have bought them has performed very well over the last 3 years or so. | lovelife1
15/5/2015 12:53 | oryx almost nailed on | value viper
15/5/2015 12:31 | The buyer of the 1.5 mil shares has just owned up. Now you have to wait for the seller to show. | 21trader
15/5/2015 09:13 | Hm -we can all come up with a few if only's. Probably my best trade overall was Corus many years ago. Certainly debt there was a big issue. It will certainly be interesting to see what comes out of the forthcoming interims on June 11th. I have bought a few as a punt. This deal with Cape could be a game changer. | meijiman
14/5/2015 23:53 | Always remember about approx 25 years ago when Next had a lot of debt. Share price was 1p and they sold off some mail order business for 30-40 mil kepts the banks at bay and bought them some time and the rest they say is history. | 21trader
14/5/2015 21:49 | net debt was 16 million at last update (Dec) and they say this sale cuts it by 5. I'm no accountant I admit, but lets just say thats a decent reduction whatever the actual figures are; they have kept the best (higher margin) businesses and if they can cost manage their way to profits and with some improvement in their markets , the operational leverage kicks in and the bank is relaxed over debt interest etc moreover the bank is not the real worry as henderson now have the debt and 27% of the stock.....i assume they might like to see the share price higher........ if this goes bust after what they have said today, I think it would be pretty outrageous BUT of course funnier things have happened | value viper
14/5/2015 21:43 | indeed, I had read : anything positive to say mud after this latest update ?! come on.. best in an age really and keeping the blast proof (booth industries) doors too | value viper
14/5/2015 20:50 | Westcombe increased their stake in Slimma, yet administration followed. | mudbath
14/5/2015 14:30 | Those 2 large sells have done nothing to the share price Must be some buyers buying them up for them to get so many sold. Happy to sit and wait on this one for a bit | i like trees
14/5/2015 13:22 | Thanks. Think I have read the statement 3 times now then went back and read the results to see the total liabilities. I think other stocks I hold or know are clouding my judgement here. I hold PEG which is valued less and makes 500k with a miles better balance sheet but is almost friendless in this market so I think why buy this especially when the spread is horrendous but there plenty who are not put off by the spread. dammed if I do or do not atm still not sure. They do give the impression though that if/when they swing to profits it will be impressive but the debt is still scary. | 21trader
14/5/2015 13:18 | 10.1p - what do you make of this play 21trader? | lovelife1
14/5/2015 13:12 | Any holders tell me what they are getting to sell as no selftrade now to test the market ? | 21trader
14/5/2015 13:09 | i hope so - gone thru the mkt that one ; not behind the scenes (insti re-jig) prob explains why shares not higher today imho | value viper
14/5/2015 13:02 | Big sell - oyrx gone?? | lovelife1
14/5/2015 12:56 | there u go- another sell print : 1.5 million; get them out of the way i say expecting another holidng RNS | value viper
14/5/2015 12:03 | I noticed that Robin Hendy (Westcombe, having done some research) increased the other day where Oryx reduced. Hhmm. Before this update of course. We could still have some (selling) shenanigans in this regard....although I wonder whether this latest update may change the way in which current holders feel about prospects ?!.....unless i am misreading the signs the co is giving. That last print of 100,000 shares @ 10.5p looks like it could be a sell for instance. | value viper
14/5/2015 10:39 | VV thanks. At this market cap it looks like a good potential recovery play with some serious upside | i like trees
14/5/2015 09:57 | Yes -good summary of the position. Be nice if management bought some shares to show confidence. | meijiman
14/5/2015 09:53 | On assets, believe manufacturing biz (retained) alone could be worth near £20 million. Not my figures by the way. Net debt further reduced now ; the biz they have sold had £30 million in revs BUT I feel the real concern was that this co could go bust and it was priced as such. I think that is looking much less likely now in view of the statement. They still have kept good bits and I am impressed, for the first time in donkeys that we appear to now have a mgment team who are starting to deliver improvement (as they said they would). But again, this remains high risk. | value viper
14/5/2015 09:49 | Thanks -I'm going to have to get more up to speed on net acronyms. Anyway I intend to do a bit of DD on this unloved dog of a stock. If its not going bust, which now looks very unlikely, then there might just be something here to make it investible. I've read the statement twice and there does appear to be a quiet confidence behind the road map going forward. If the show gets back on the road then its a potential multi-bagger. | meijiman
14/5/2015 09:42 | Value, in view of this disposal, what do you consider fair value? | i like trees
14/5/2015 09:36 | no ramp intended ! | value viper |
