23/11/2020 17:52 | Well spotted flyfisher, although I think the cut off point for the December review may already have passed. >>are AIM stocks in FTSE250?>> No, but I don't think REDD is an AIM stock. | zho
23/11/2020 17:35 | are AIM stocks in FTSE250? genuine question | rogthepodge
23/11/2020 17:14 | As of today REDD is 349th in the all share list, so we have a sporting chance of joining the FTSE 250 index at the next review in december. | flyfisher
17/11/2020 14:38 | >>Directors remuneration report shows that the CEO stands to earn £3.7m for on target performance, a figure that would make a ftse 100 CEO blush.>> Perhaps not, because the median FTSE100 CEO's salary is £3.6 million, but I agree with your sentiments. | zho
17/11/2020 14:31 | Directors remuneration report shows that the CEO stands to earn £3.7m for on target performance, a figure that would make a ftse 100 CEO blush. The remuneration committee are trying to add further bonuses to this. No wonder for the heavy vote against the directors remuneration policy at the AGM. The company is on the cusp of ftse 250 entry, yet does not have appropriate corporate standards. If this is of concern, email the company, let them know your feelings. | flyfisher
16/11/2020 07:06 | Redde Northgate plc (LSE:REDD), the leading integrated mobility solutions platform, confirms that it will publish its interim results for the six months ended 31 October 2020 on Tuesday, 8 December 2020. | skinny

31/10/2020 06:38 | 45% vote against directors remuneration at the AGM, board will engage with institutions to find out why. In my view, the current performance bonus targets reward poor performance. It looks like the directors incentive schemes will be adjusted. | flyfisher
29/10/2020 18:55 | Good write up by Paul Scott on Stocko today. Not sure why Mr market is marking the share price down? | indiagolf12

29/10/2020 14:58 | Hi 3,800, A 16/9/20 article in the Investors' Chronicle said "Analysts at broker Numis upgraded their forecasts to adjusted earnings of 26.3p per share for the year to April 2021, rising to 35.7p for FY2022." That's all I've got, I'm afraid, apart from the likes of | zho
28/10/2020 13:15 | Hi zho, do you know what the the consensus of FY2021 analyst forecasts are? 3800 | 3800
28/10/2020 07:27 | Current Trading In the first five months of FY2021 the Group has seen sequential monthly improvements in trading, with a recovery in VOH to slightly above pre-COVID levels, strong used vehicle prices and disposal profits, but slower recovery than expected in Redde volumes due to several factors including local and regional lockdowns. Absent a deeper or more prolonged impact of COVID-19 than currently expected, the Board is comfortable with the consensus of FY2021 analyst forecasts that have been updated since April 2020. | zho
11/10/2020 08:13 | It's behind a paywall, but ... "White delivery vans enjoying Covid-inspired renaissance "The price of secondhand vans has risen for five straight months as demand for home shopping deliveries continues rising" | zho
09/10/2020 10:42 | At around the 420p level, Redde shareholders will be back at the level they were before this merger was announced. | largeronald
09/10/2020 10:37 | Redde Northgate is currently ranked 359th by market cap in the all share index. At the 230p level it would qualify for ftse 250 inclusion, ie companies from 100 to 350 in the list. If it gets there, presumably some index buying would occur. | flyfisher

07/10/2020 11:28 | A previous comment from Crystal Amber. ''Northgate's well-managed Spanish business, which generates over half of the group's operating profit, is the clear leader in its market with a strong brand, good geographic coverage and an attractive return on assets. The Fund believes that the considerable value of the Spanish business is not reflected in Northgate's share price and that the company should therefore properly explore all options to realise the value of this asset. For example, if the Spanish business were to be worth 130% of nav to an acquirer, then investors in Northgate would be currently paying less than one third of net asset value for the residual UK and Ireland businesses.'' | flyfisher
07/10/2020 11:20 | Many years ago Helphire had a Spanish credit hire division if I remember correctly. Got closed down though I think, after Dimond Lovell legal case around 2000? | rogthepodge
07/10/2020 11:20 | Interesting FF. I seem to remember that they were setting the Spanish business up to manage itself as a division which from a medium term plan would make sense if they were to sell it off so that the UK business was not affected. | deanowls
07/10/2020 10:15 | The post results analysts presentation commented upon ''Potential disposal of non-core assets''. What assets are non core? Activist shareholder Crystal Amber has been pushing for a sale of spanish operations, as they expect it would be attractive to european competitors who are seeking inroads into spain. From Crystal Amber '' As previously stated, the Fund believes that Northgate's well-managed Spanish business would be an attractive acquisition candidate for several multinationals that have been attempting to increase their presence within the European flexible vehicle rental market. These larger and more diversified peers operate with greater leverage and lower costs of capital than Redde Northgate and would be able to realise multiple synergies unavailable to Northgate. The Fund hopes that the company's ongoing review of Northgate's strategy will conclude that it is in shareholders' interests to initiate an auction of the Spanish business. I assume that this is the non core asset, what value could a sale attract? | flyfisher |
