DRILLING UPDATE – HAWKEYE-1

Mon 10th Aug 2015.

Red Emperor Resources NL (ASX | AIM: RMP) provides the following update with respect to the drilling of the Hawkeye-1 exploration well, offshore Palawan Basin in the Philippines.

The Hawkeye-1 exploration well was spud on 31 July 2015 and since then operations have run smoothly with the Joint Venture experiencing excellent performance from both the rig and service companies. After the installation of the 36” conductor at 1,906m the well was drilled (26”) and cased (20”) to 2,449m. Installation and testing of the blow-out preventer (BOP) has been completed, along with the 17 ½” hole to 2,664m. Current operations involve the setting of 13 5/8" casing in anticipation for drilling the 12 1/8” hole to the primary target reservoir.

Red Emperor will continue to update the market with respect to the drilling operations in conjunction with the JV after target depth has been reached.

Howie, you are wrong. There is a 70-80% chance of hitting gas. The chances it being commercial are lower but this is an exploration well. Hit gas in any quantities and it de risks the region. There is a 32% cos of a COMMERCIAL oil find which is very high. A lot of money has been spent on 2d and 3d prior to drill.

I like trees agreed. The issue with rmp is this well is 68% a duster and will fall to 0.5p knowing aim. There is a 32% of geological cos but only 7.5% for commercial cos. It don't take carol foreman to work out that there is a 92.5% that we are stuffed. It would have been quicker and better odds playing roulette. lets hope the 7.5% comes in

Howie. It is a last attempt to get some revenue as they havnt got the money to extract potash from their mine in Africa. If they can broker thedeals, game on but they oonly have a MOI in place and if they can't do the deals, they earn no income. If the do the deals, great but it is still jam tomorrow. I expect the shares to drop until news of the first deal which could be in a couple of months. Plus, its Africa. Make the rules up as they go along. Oil riches was trying to buy in there in the 0.44 area from memory. He could be sitting on losses in a few days. Chasing AIM hot sticks is risky but can pay dividends of you get in and out quickly.
I like the risk reward here. I'll either lose 10k or make 50-100k. AIM is a gamble and the odds are good here IMO

back door. He has got into afpo and guess what it has gone up 70% already. In all honesty the stock looks tasty
