I think the reaction to the results tells you enough 140661.

Even if these can do 7p eps next year, which I doubt, why would these be worth a PE higher than 6? AIM, no divi, debt nearly as high as the mkt cap and £75m Goodwill on the b/s.

I suspect the next Tottification will be a downbeat statement as he swings bi-polar from positive to negative.

Far more attractive stocks about imo.

Spaceparallax, revenues were up 3% on the corresponding 12 month period you are comparing the 15 months to March 12. Spoken to PT to congratulate him on these excellent results and he is more confident than ever. As stated in todays announcement all businesses are progressing very well, management teams in place across the group, funding in place and debt falling. The next year should see strong growth and major progress on the sugar business. He would not disclose anything more about Omnicane other than the relationship is growing stronger and he is confident it will result in material benefit to RGD. My personal assessment of the situation is that without any Omincane benefit we will see EPS well above 8p to March 14, may be nearer 10p. Omnicane is the wild card and this relationship has the potential to triple the Napier Brown business in the short term in that case EPS are in the 15p-20p EPS range. Exciting times lie ahead. GLAH

Results do look remarkably good despite the 13% fall in revenue. Well done RGD, just need to keep an eye on the debtors.

results look fair - but not sure I like the way they ignore the pension deficit in the headline figures everywhere . Its a cost to the business whichever way you look at it

Today's results confirm that the business is in excellent shape and the future looks most encouraging. The results were better than predicted in the march update, cash generation which has often been an area of criticism was positive £5m compared to a negative figure of £2m last year and net debt is down £7m on the levels in Dec 12. Well done PT and his team. Fingers crossed the market reacts accordingly. I will see if I can post Shore's new forecasts which should be going up based on these results. GLAH

Kjp, I am not expecting 100p tomorrow but would hope to see 50p by the end of this week and 100p by year end. Tomorrow should be the beginning of a strong rally. AIMHO and GLAH.

Prelims out on Wednesday and I am hoping we might get the following:
1. an improvement on some of the figures given in the March update as this was given pre month end.
2. confirmation that Haydens is now consistently profitable having historically been the Groups large loss making business.
3. lower debt level.
4. improved cash generation form operations.
5. positive trading in line or ahead of management expectations.
6. some news on the Omnicane relationship and its strategic significance to the Group.

FIF rather strong - would make a great 'smoke and mirrors' acquisition for Totte imo :-)

He wouldn't would he? Again?

I chatted to CR today and, while we did not discuss RGD, I can report he seemed very relaxed and confident. This was in contrast to his general demeanor 6 months ago, although this may have had nothing to do with RGD and more to do with his bowel movements.

CR, I very much doubt you are right but we will see. My understanding is the market is looking for stock so my guess is a tick up rather than down. Only a week to wait for what I believe will be good news. GLAH

Spoke to PT yesterday and while we did not discuss RGD, I can report he seemed very relaxed and confident. This was in contrast to his general demeanor 6 months ago and while this may have nothing to do with RGD, I am hopeful RGD's improving performance is playing its part. GLAH

Well could this be the start of the long awaited re-rating. Stock closed near a 3 month high and decent buying this afternoon. Nothing to get too excited about but it makes a nice change. To remind those thinking about buying the shares trade on 6 times historic and 5.25x current year broker forecasts, second largest shareholder has been aggressively buying and has scope to buy another 6% which they are likely to resume post the prelim announcement on 26th June (currently in a close period and have an average buying price of 56p) and very strong fourth quarter performance. Typo, on Cyan I participated in the placing at 0.35p with warrants at 0.5p today the shares closed at 0.66p. I am very happy holding Synety, was up almost 250% over the April to May period but lost 180% of the rise but still in profit. FTE sold out at 2.5p in Jan and suffered a loss and VGM sold out last summer at an average of 35p, which was a loss but shares now at 9p. None of these positions is anything as large as my holding in RGD which I have the utmost faith will deliver. Out of interest what other stocks do you hold.

CR, my error on timing but having re read the last update in March it does clearly state that the prelims would be released in late June. Lets see what the prelims reveal in a few weeks but I am very hopeful we will be pleased with the outcome. AIMHO

results 'early June' ah 140661 ?

I guess that 26th June is regarded as 'early' in RGD vocabulary lol.

Skip the trading update I see - that you reckoned they'd have last month - you'd think if they had good news for you they'd be keen to let you know imo.

they gave their trading update in March for the last quarter and the expected results for the year. No chance of Pat Ridgewell who owns over 30% accepting paper, but he may accept a nice cash bid!! As mentioned previously the relationship between the two companies is growing so good news for Omnicane may well filter through to RGD. For example, Omnicane's supplying all of the sugar from their new sugar business in Kenya to RGD or Omincane helping position RGD to take all of the sugar in Mauritius etc. AIMHO and GLAH

Prelims out on Wed, 26th. That will be 3 months since the March update so we should have a fair bit of news. I have been keeping an eye on Omincane's share price and it is up over 20% in the last month!
