I would agree that the true value is far from reflected in the current valuation..and some are no doubt well aware of that.

Yup, that's a solid trade.

Surely, REI's portfolio has increased in valuation, well beyond the last published figures?

What about some info from the company--it's all very quiet.

Sunfish

thanks for your thoughts, not a million miles away from my own. For what it is worth i believe there will be some kind of injection, but not neccesarily one of cash.

In an earlier post, I said that REI could not just plod along and rely on 'organic growth' to make progress. That is not an option for the company They need new equity and/or a corporate aquisition. If neither come to pass, in, say, 18 months, then I believe that Bassi would have had enough and would either sell at NAV or try to take the business private. However, Caledonian's average price must be north of 7 pence as well, so that's a difficult scenario to contemplate.
I do think that the shares are a strong "buy" at these levels and remain surprised at the steady level of trades going through.

It's an old story--worth a mention 5 weeks ago, but not of any relevance now.
This won't "go private". Bassi couldn't finance it and Caledonian would not want to know at a price below NAV.

Sunfish old mate, i don't quite get it!!!.
You appear to have some issues or hang ups on time.
Surely, points that are of an importance are exactly that, are they not!!

That's an old story--the 1 million shares were bought some time ago.

Sure, "patience" is fine when you are 25 years old.

But, one runs out of time! It's "now" that matters.

Is it drifting? Seems flat to me - probably needs a bit of volume to clear an overhang - but then the best time to buy is when there's a bit of stock about.

So, why has the price been drifting when trades are done at 5p?

Whilst waiting for action here, I had some fun with miners: XTA,POG and AAL.
You need strong nerves for this sector.

As I believe I posted earlier, the company has to be bigger. Organic growth is not an really an option.
The best news has to be Caledonia, who don't take stakes in small caps without a plan to see them greatly expand.

I agree Sunfish2, just thought that it was worth posting. Personally, i feel we are looking at either a raising of new money or perhaps the injection of something else. Either way they havn't upped their stakes to sit idly by.
