06/10/2009 20:32 | I agree, a big buy too. | sunfish2
06/10/2009 18:44 | at 5p that looks a buy imo. CR | cockneyrebel
06/10/2009 18:35 | A trade (buy?) today. 1,000,000 shares at 5p. Good. | sunfish2

02/10/2009 07:01 | Caledonian certainly arn't here for the fun of it and Bassi has stated on record (for what it is worth) that he has no intention of taking it private. Something is on the boil here and at these levels well worth following thier lead, although i suspect we will have to pay a little more for our shares. | hastings
01/10/2009 22:14 | cool hand luke No upside for the dirs to take it private. They would need to gear up with substantial debt and more importantly, Caledonian don't want stakes in private buisnesses. | sunfish2
01/10/2009 22:05 | picked up a few early doors here today looks a decent term play | empirestate
01/10/2009 21:45 | is it healthy 4 the director to hold such a large stake they might want 2 take it private at a discount 2 NAV which is what? | cool hand kev
01/10/2009 17:10 | I am with you Sunfish, i think you are spot on. I also believe RLE will deliver a decent return for the patient, | hastings
01/10/2009 16:25 | Well, if REI doesn't raise new equity what is the point of REI? They can't get anywhere fast with their present capital base and whilst they have cash, it will take years to build the business organically. I don't imagine that the management wants to potter along and Caledonian surely are in this for some decent action? I don't know, but only the best businesses can raise new capital at the moment and it would be great for REI if they are confirmed in this category. The company has spent a few years establishing itself, but now they have to get cracking. | sunfish2
01/10/2009 15:48 | Sunfish2 You could be right re funding. They don't look like they need more cash for the existing business but in the recent ints. re possible aquisitions did say 'Our strategy has been to capitalise on market opportunities, aided by our cash reserves and agreed banking facilities. However, we are not seeing adequate value or quality in potential purchases and remain cautious in the medium term. I am, nevertheless, now anticipating an increase in the availability of favourable acquisitions, particularly from institutional vendors, at valuations that we consider good value for REI.' | martincc
01/10/2009 15:28 | Martin, sure, of course. But in reality, Bassi/Caledonian are working together--that's how it is in small cap stocks and hence my comment about the artificiality of the share price quote. Neither party will go beyond 29.99% and trigger a bid. My guess is that they will place new shares to raise I hope £30m+ and then with perhaps 40% of the enlarged capital, still call all the shots---that's good; Caledonian back winners and Bassi is a shrewd operator. | sunfish2
01/10/2009 15:21 | sunfish2, The Paul Bassi 29.06% and Caledonian 29.62% figures are two separate holdings, not in concert. I believe t/o is triggered when 29.99% breached? | martincc
01/10/2009 15:09 | Surely, in the light of the large trades and Bassi/Caledonian upping their stakes, there is some manipulation of the price? With only 15% of the equity in free float and the 58% concert party adding to their stake, there will/should be some action(?) | sunfish2
01/10/2009 15:07 | In on the back of that 1million director buy, happy to fold these for a while | mrmiyagi
01/10/2009 15:02 | Lets hope so, big fall over the last 10 days or so here. | fozzie
01/10/2009 14:59 | Caledonian recently upped their stake to 29.62% Now Paul Bassi/concert party upped to 29.06% Est. 27% held by institutions, around 15% in free float. Maybe time for some action? | martincc
01/10/2009 14:22 | Director buy of 1m just gone through. CR | cockneyrebel
01/10/2009 12:27 | There have been a few really chunky trades including the one of a Million. Looks like there has been a seller to me, but equally someone else has taken them on. It should be interesting to see if there is an RNS on holdings increased or decreased. Whichever, i don't think it changes things on the longer term picture here. | hastings
01/10/2009 07:41 | I don't believe that it was a sell. Bargains take place outside of the quote. | sunfish2
01/10/2009 06:52 | There was a large sell Monday. | hastings
30/9/2009 11:32 | A net 300,000 shares bought, so why is the price slipping? | sunfish2
10/9/2009 09:01 | No doubt Sunfish, the recent run will certainly pull back. As for RLE, i think it will be a rewarding long term play. | hastings
10/9/2009 08:46 | There will be dips and not just in RLE. I believe that there are some big red days in the offing. | sunfish2
10/9/2009 06:57 | Yes, that would be a good start. For now, RLE is off the radar of most investors, but like you say, Caledonian is not here just for the fun of it. I Will add on any dips and wouldn't expect anything much for the next six months or so, but then who knows. | hastings |
