Would love someone to explain to me how this company raised money at 55p per share back in 2011 yet the shares are still at the same price although the Birmingham commercial property market has been very strong in recent years

Bought a few more. Final results next month. Struggling to find anything worth buying just now. I'm only about 20% invested. I note Director Paul Bassi picked up 375,000 of these at 62p last April.

Informed by Youinvest that I should get the amount deducted in March

how do the different tax rates effect the payment or does it just presume a 20% charge?

"The shareholders who qualify for gross payment are principally UK resident companies, UK public bodies, UK charities, UK pension funds, and the managers of ISAs, PEPs and Child Trust Funds."

It is the ISA managers who have to complete the form, not individual ISA shareholders.

Hope this helps, as I had an e-mail exchange with the company back in December:

Have you spotted that the next dividend payment is a PID payment – if you have not already done so you need to file a form with our registrars for payments to be made gross, if this applies to any of your holdings.

The form is on our website. hxxps://reiplc.com/reits/

This needs to be done by 29 December 2017 – the record date for the dividend.

"PIDs within a tax shelter

You do not pay tax on PIDs held within tax sheltered accounts.

However, unlike ordinary dividends that are paid gross (i.e. with no tax deducted), PIDs are generally paid with 20% tax deducted.

This means the tax already paid needs to be clawed back.

Your tax-sheltered account should be issued with a 20% tax credit associated with your PID income, which the company that runs your ISA, CTF or pension should use to reclaim the tax paid from the taxman.

Do watch to ensure your PID tax is being reclaimed by your broker, as sometimes they forget. It can take 4-6 weeks after the PID is credited to your account for the reclaimed tax to turn up as cash."

Sometimes it's paid in 2 installments - one being a PID.

SKYSHIP posted on the NBDG thread that he was going to contact the chairman of the Trust to clarify a point. Given that he is neither timely or helpful in replying historically, I said "good luck with that"

When I posted about the RLE director on here, SKYSHIP responded with the same message.

A little bit of sceptism in each case.

That's all I'm afraid!

so how will he do that other than selling a his stake on or sell his stake to the company
discounts are rife in the sector and the recent debacle at PCA shows how smaller shareholders kicked into touch one annoucement
