Investographer, in answer to your question in 1156 I sent a second email and got a reply. The first one had gone in to Spam. I thought it strange since he does seem to want to communicate with shareholders. Having said that he asked to defer an answer to my question until they update the market "later this month". Looks like you were near with the date you mentioned.

Rivaldo/Ged, why would you expect a TU to be any different from what Zico posted? So why look forward to a TU when they have already stated that they are busy? Offices. Many offices are closed or only partially open on some days and likely to be like that for months to come with staff working from home. That reduces the need to deep clean offices. Rail. The government have taken back control of rail franchises. What effect is that going to have on future contracts?

Thanks Yump. It's always as well to consider any perceived problems. Even near the start of this pandemic there were reports that the virus on surfaces may not be infectious. Reading such reports made me feel better. Did it stop me from washing my hands after touching surfaces? No. Why not? Because I wanted to reduce the risk. Is everything known about this virus? No The first article on my Google search discusses the likelihood of catching the virus from surfaces. There is a difference of opinion but why take the risk? Anyway is REAT all about Covid? This is one side of the argument from someone who should know:- Alicia Kraay is an infectious disease epidemiologist at Emory University who is studying how much cleaning and disinfection impacts the risk of getting COVID-19. She believes that hard surfaces may play a role in transmission of the infection, especially if they’re in a common area. She recommends that those should be cleaned regularly. Thanks Zico. Growing, increasing, expanding. Ten (edited) times those words are used. Also: "As demand for our services is growing, we need to expand and find new ways of working." And very apt after this weekend, they clean up after Floods.

Cheers zico01, sounds very encouraging. The trading update should be out imminently as already stated - it seems the outlook will be rather bullish judging by the narrative in REAT's update in post 1162.

You might find it interesting to read about the increasing reports that surfaces are less of a risk for transmission than originally thought and much less of a risk than person to person.

No rns this morning but trading update is due imminently some rather bullish comments in the latest blog published today iv'e posted a few extracts ; It would be fair to say that 2020 has been a surprising and worrying year for everyone. We’ve all had to get used to new ways of working, travelling and interacting socially. Perhaps less surprisingly, demand for cleaning services has increased, with the emphasis on making workspaces and public spaces Covid-safe. We work with several large Tier 1 or blue-chip organisations, mainly in the healthcare, judiciary, rail, road and social housing sectors. We also support many large facilities management companies. And over the course of 2020, we’ve seen increased demand for our services. Many organisations now need to undertake deep cleaning and decontamination to focus on infection control and keeping Covid-safe. We already have a roster of work from a large community of Tier 1 & Blue-chip organisations, and this list is growing all the time. very upbeat words from the company this morning looking forward to the trading update !!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Investographer, I don't want to put you off but if you already have some wouldn't it be more prudent to wait to hear what they have to say? If the results are better than management expectations (whatever they are)then I would expect a steady rise up to the results publication. You might lose out on fractions of a penny but then you're covered if there's some slight disappointment. You've probably considered all this already.

True they left it until late October last year but that was before Shaun Doak was appointed. They didn't give a trading update after the half year results in 2019 but they did within a week of the end of the half year in April 2020. No he didn't reply. He has previously. He hasn't suddenly become too important or arrogant enough to ignore shareholders and that is why I suspect we'll hear earlier this year. I've found they don't communicate if news is due. Anyway no matter. It'll appear when it appears and there should be a smallish profit when it does.

Ged, last year the end of year trading update was on Oct 24th.We will see how busy they have been during this period. This is a micro cap & is being run as such. It is the punt in my portfolio & the worst performer (as punts usually are). If I see more Director ownership (CEO & CFO own zilch), I will carry on investing here.Did you get a reply off Shaun Doak?

I just can't keep up with all the trades today. Is everybody expecting a trading update next week? Not too sure how charts work when there's no volume but with the Bollinger bands almost closed (never mind closing) there's usually movement up or down. Trading update I reckon up. No update down. Place your bets if you're a short term trader! Otherwise wait for the long game. A small growing company about to start its journey.

Ged, I expect it will be some time before anyone knows the impact, if any, to Reat of rail companies losing the franchises. I would have expected a rns from the company to clarify it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-54232015
