Hi soul - I'm not in here at present. Used to be but sold out way too soon (to put more into ECO, which was in flight). I think West Newton looks very promising indeed and this stock is right at the top of my watchlist as a result.

I've been interested in the UK onshore for decades and made good money from the likes of Marinex in days of yore.

If I can find something sensible to sell in the next few working days I'll be back in here if I can do so for 0.9 or less.

They ain't going to drop out now, they've been sold the bonanza of WN, got it at a low sp, possibly even forward sold some so what's not to like?

Anyone know if the conditional placees can drop out now? They may be rather less keen if the shares are below the placing price. Some of them were doubtless expecting a quick in and out 5% or so. That seems unlikely to happen now.

The price was clearly being managed by the broker trying to get the placing away. It looks as though they ran out of ammo and had to give in to the sellers. If there's enough buying at just under the placing price they may be able to give it a little push to get it back up to 0.9-0.95.

A bit of a battle going on!

I agree. Get the placing past and move on with plenty of value. Unfortunately Dan the bad man leaked this and dragged the share price down for him and his mates. It's AIM but plenty of money to be made from these guys imo.

EnterI'm not saying it's going below 0.9p or thereabouts.What I was suggesting, which I've seen happen plenty of times before, is that when news of a placing does the rounds the shares get forward sold, as the sellers know they can pick up stock in the placing at 0.9p. They can also 'stag' the issue as well. But if the stock dips below the placing price and they've not forward sold the lot, they can sell some at less than the placing price but still come in at a profit overall. Institutions and others are made insiders with the placing news, but funny how the share price drops in 90% of the cases, forward selling once made an insider is illegal as is passing on the info. But f-all ever gets done about it even though it's obvious what is happening.The upshot of this activity is the placing price is lower than the company desires, Stifel suggested 1.2p I believe , originally. Existing shareholders get more dilution.Having said all that, I view the current share price as a good place to top up and have done that today. WN could be a company maker and propel RBD way beyond current levels, imo.

Why is it scary for shorters if the placing isn't passed? As far as I'm concerned it would be bad for the share price if the placing isn't passed. The placing allows Reabold to move West Newton forward which can only be a good thing.

astral we agree on the exciting times ahead but don't really get your other point. If certain investors knew the placing was coming they would sell and then they would buy back again at 0.9 wouldn't they? Or if they took a short position they would have to close that position. Either way there should be support at 0.9 so why is it going below 0.9?

Weakness in share price is probably from folks that new the placing was coming, pre sold into the market and now covering with the shares they will soon get. It don't matter if they sell under 0.9, all that matters to them is they are in profit on the overall deal.I would agree, exciting times and strong news flow ahead. A chance to pick up stock and just under 0.9 is not to be missed and I have duly topped up.

Looking at the trades it appears to be all sells, but it's deceiving ... Trades at .9047p and up are buys, those trades at just over .901p/.902p are the sells ...the spread has been very close ... Been like that for days ..
