I would like to keep a very close eye on a thing called Reabold Resources (RBD), which has been set up by two former fund managers from M&G. They've done two deals so far, I would have expected them to do one or two more, and very creative and very value-added businesses I would expect to see from there'

Get in quick pre Xmas, as this is obviously going on someone's January tips list for 2018.

When it is issued you will be playing catch up.

I agree it is tipped for success in 2018 and not long to wait.
Those in the know, like the fresh approach and the objective of protecting shareholder value. That is why they have already bought in...

I reckon it will more than double in the year.
You will not get that from a bank.

Malcy isn't wrong:

1)Market has not seen this
2)Huge upside potential
3)Assets developed by majors
4)Sassy people in the market tip it for success.

He is right. No doubt by the time the masses clock on to this, those getting in now will be sitting on a tidy profit.

Not only that but the business model is new and for once aimed at shareholder protection. Less risk and more upside possible.

Getting in now is what is key, this will be trading at multiples next year. I am almost certain once the snowflake starts rolling it will become a snowball and then an avalanche in no time. Get them now while they are cheap. For me this is my strongest buy going into 2018.

Divmad,Why? Put simply, the Colter discovery in which RBD have circa 21.24% indirect interest via their corallian stake. Its right next to and in similar age reservoirs to Wytch farm. See below;Colter is offshore, adjacent to the Wytch Farm oil field,  which has produced in excess of 450 million barrels of oil;·    A 1986 discovery well, drilled by BP, on Colter recovered 41.9 API oil on test from a 10.5m oil column; ·    Since the 1980's seismic technology has advanced significantly such that Corallian has used modern techniques to merge and reprocess two offshore 3D seismic datasets which have enabled the identification of over 100m of mapped vertical relief up-dip of the discovery well;·    An appraisal well is planned to be drilled on Colter by Corallian (Operator) in the first half of 2018;·    Corallian estimates gross mean prospective resources of 30 million barrels of recoverable oil for the Colter prospect; and·    Corallian financial modelling based on the above prospective resources forecasts a gross NPV (10) in the success case of £255 million.Not long till drilling. A material appraisal project within a spitting distance of Europes most prolific onshore oilfield.Cash

Different companies, different approach, RBD have taken an investment there for a short-term return, It is also only one of RBDs OPPORTUNITIES and at an almost free price. There is no reason not to invest in either company. I was surprised they got such a good deal as they really should have paid a lot more but getting good deals is their game.

There is currently a good opportunity to BUY into RBD on the cheap. Trading at not much above cash means their investments don't actually have to do much to return a profit on the current share price. Given their expertise, if one of their identified investments turns out to be huge then it blows it out the water.

Talking of which let's see what they have in mind for the next investment, rumour has it.. east Irish Sea.

With RBD twice the MC of UPL, but having an interest in a potentially company-making license as Wick of one-fifth that of UPL, why would anyone take RBD here over UPL?
