Widely echoed in other news media.

Incorrect.

It was floated six-and-a-half years ago in May 2018

This is nonsense, RBG was floated only 5 years ago, 🙄 😒 a complete fiasco from beginning to end.

I mean on a 10 year chart the price is basically the same as it was 10 years ago

Nonsense.

Unlike this Company, the vast majority of AIM companies -or for that matter FTSE100/250 companies- HAVE NOT lost 97% of their value in just 6 years.

Flat performance would mean 95p not today's tuppence.

Shameful performance.

it is what has happened to most other companies quepassa - investing in UK has been truly miserable even though you wouldn't think it if you checked the FTSE 100/FTSE 250

This Company was admitted to AIM in May 2018 at a Placing price of 95p.

The share price today is tuppence.

Yes 2p.

Original investors /shareholders have lost 97% of their money.

All. IMO. DYOR.

Can Anyone explain today's RNS? Why would you announce that? I don't understand.

Agreed, Farrugia. I could see the share price going either way from here TBH. Net debt is over £24! So it could go bust. But the two law firms which underlie the Plc are well-respected, and together they have a TO of £18m. So arguably a market cap of about £3m is too low.

the small buying is negligible though

Interesting RNS just before 5pm. The massive selling on Friday was down to Dowgate. They are not completely out yet, but they have less than 3% now, so I guess that any further selling on their part will not being RNS'd.Anyway, the fact that they are out or nearly out, plus some small buying by one of the directors, may well see this move up tomorrow. It is pretty much priced to fail, so if it can survive and recover, there is some real money to be made from here. High risk though.

As the directors know but will not say, RBG is insolvent.

Burford is litigation finance (funding legal cases) so very different to a legal services provider such as RBGP. That said, BUR has stagnated for years now and I also have concerns about the level of remuneration eating into profits.

but surely Rosenblatt owns a bit chunk of this and doesn't want it to fail?

well look at Burford Capital - that seems to be working so far for shareholders?
farrugia

Exactly - all the money will inevitably go to the lawyers NOT the shareholders. That's why I now completely avoid the legal sector. RBGP itself looks on the brink of insolvency given its huge debt and continued losses.

why is it a garbage? Lawyers are known to charge an arm and a leg and are always in demand.
