This seems to explain the recent sell off, feels like the market is expecting some negative news, hopefully the July update will bring some clarity.

Any investor with some self control would either wait for a stage 2 or actually invest in a decent company

Perhaps sold down on the rumour of Suzanne taking leave, which is actually six months off for personal reasons or is there more to this?

7 million - some bigger trades now. We had a 25m surge in trades 6-8 weeks ago. It would be nice to ever get any information about what is going on.

Personally I have always found Tets (Lionfish ex MD) impressive. Very experienced investment banker and a successful litigation funder since 1911. However I agree these undercapitalised litigation companies will never sell for what they are worth to Rosenblatt. So it will not sell. On average some, possibly most, of the 8 litigations will succeed and resolutions may be expected before the FY 24 results are out. Tets still has skin in the game too.

Why would anyone pay anything for Lionfish ? First two cases lost £4m. A lot of capital will be needed to even advance the other 8 cases, let alone score any winners. The “business̶1; is a one man band, and that one man is not impressive imho, and zero/negative brand value. It will be closed down or they will have to guarantee a level of liabilities for a buyer. The latter is unacceptable, JD already stressed that, so it will be closed.

DYOR but seems pretty obvious to me.

5th Dec date of warning opened at 60/65. Day before traded at 84/85. No posts on LSE or here when price was around there saying 30p or even prior to that in Nov 2022 when the share price was at 80p for sometime. Apart from then the share price has not been at 76p. So what's your agenda?

The share price will speak for itself, when the share was 76p I forecast 30p, now I say this is not the bottom.

And anyone listening to the rampers at 35p spouting it's surely the bottom now, is down nearly 20%.50p was supposedly a big support point according to the rampers on this board. Gone. 45p was supposedly a big support point according to the rampers on this board. Gone. Rinse repeat message for 40p, 35p, 30pBeware of the same message incoming for 25p

yawn, yawn , yawn - the threadbare "must be shorters" scenario pulled out of the cupboard yet again.

please back up these assertions with any concrete evidence of shorting.

best ignore people talking their own positions in vain against a resolutely down direction of travel.

never did get any comment from the bulletin board members who had been suggesting that this was good value at 50p recently.

any one who listened is already down 40%

all imo. dyor.

There are serious internal issues at both law firms (Rosenblatt & Memory Crystal)which are not being addressed, though some of the larger shareholders seem to be aware. All spells disaster.

All of this stems from Nicola leaving. The effect of which, as predicted by a certain institutional shareholder that posted some months ago on here, has 1) Led to an exodus of Nicola believers and 2) Internal risk management has necessitated portfolio realignment / selling, particularly as the market cap has fallen below the threshold that many of the larger institutions will consider. Ie Under £100 million or £50 million.

Add to that Nicola selling, which seems irrational and is possibly spiteful.

She sold her vision to Ian and he left her to built this sprawling legal enterprise that was going to be printing cash in all scenarios.

The Lionfish sale is coming.....and with it a step change in the debt situation.

Plenty still going on at Convex (at last a deal..break out the Morrisons homebrand cider!) and still the big elephant cases though nothing for some time from them.

I've had a look on Glassdoor to check staff perceptions of both RBL and MC and neither have anything to date that concerns me. I would even suggest staff experiences are positive, with both RBL and MC employees having recommend to a friend stats of over 80%. If anyone has further details, that have credence, I'm all ears but think it wise to ignore new accounts made on a bad down day warning of impending doom, as I agree it is likely a shorter betting that the seller still has more to go and wants to scare others into selling too.

My guess is that it is NF selling and that this will negatively impact the share price until the selling stops. When it does it should rebound strongly, but when that moment is, only the seller knows.

We must be getting close to the bottom if loads of shorters have started posting. It's now trading under book value even if you value the £27m of investments on the balance sheet at zero. If they are worth £27m, we're trading at around 45% of book value and that's assuming there will be no future profits, despite strong forecasts. I know times are hard and we should be sceptical though. The trading update in a few weeks should be interesting.
