Certainly a possibility as the smaller firms face a huge additional cost for research under MIFID 2.

I can't believe that the majority of wealth managers have not yet cut their fees especially on bond portfolios.

No wonder there is a move to lower cost passive funds.

Not sure how many wealth managers can justify holding 20% in fixed interest for clients and charging a management fee if the underlying assets are giving a return of 1% or less.

Could become a major issue for the industry if interest rates remain at these levels.

Read Zeus Capital's note on RATHBONE BROTHERS PLC (RAT), out this morning, by visiting hxxps://www.research-tree.com/company/GB0002148343

"Rathbones has delivered resilient FUM and net operating income in the face of volatile markets. RUTM’s growth is particularly impressive. Group 1Q16 net operating income of £58.9m is 0.9% above our £58.4m estimate, with RIM’s £53.5m income just above our £53.8m estimate and RUTM’s £5.4m contribution 17% above our £4.6m estimate. While RUTM’s contribution is higher than expected, we leave our forecasts unchanged with three more quarters to go. Interim results to 30 June 2016, due on 28 July, will provide an appropriate time..."

Top bombing today, one final push to take out that May/June resistance.

Long may it continue.

There are protests today In Broadmoor ( The bin....where the worst of the worst are housed) where inmates are hardly ever released, because they want pension benefits.....and would you believe it...job seakers allowances. It's their "human rights" they maintain. No doubt their solicitors are going to have a field day and fully agree with their claims.

I suppose you do also eh Ratty ;-)

Stuff Gordon Brown, you think this foray into the media is a random event?? Theres a bloody election coming up in just weeks time!!

This Is all planned and set up and our dear leader knows exactly what to expect.

How brazen of him to talk of the details of the private deal he did over dinner with the then PM Blair, which saw GB take over the leadership of the Labour party, thereby becoming Prime Minister of this country through the back door, without a public vote!

Never underestimate a politicians propensity to use a personal tragedy in order to endear himself to the public. Such events make them seem more human and in the "cult of celebrity" which rules our society that is the only way they will ever get the public vote - by appearing to be human and winning our sympathy - after all we wouldn't vote for their policies would we??

They are all morally bankrupt and "appearing to be human" is all they have left to play on .

Just bought one of these for the motor, ffs!!!
