Bought in heavy this morning.
This seems to be a great trading share if you set the Limit right.
Spikes up sharply.

Can't answer that one Fez. Gold looks weak to me at the moment.

I'd be looking to add around the £67 mark.

the divi will be increased by 52% this year, so maybe an interim divi will be paid rather than an increased divi for the x-divi

Good stuff.Stan Fischer the deputy chair of the Fed,who is on the 'hawkish' end of the Fed voting members' spectrum when it comes to raising US interest rates, today said only a further two rate hikes are likely this year. That should restrict the dollar index from rising much higher any time soon.Should hopefully underpin pog around this level too, imo.Have we seen the end of the dollar bull run at last? Wild week for oil and commodities.Look at the effect the consumer confidence figs. had on the US market today.Article 50 for Brexit triggered here tomorrow, oil inventories in the US out as well.(How will that affect oil prices?) US GDP data Thursday, and Chicago PMI data Friday.Over the weekend we then get Chinese manufacturing pmi. As an investor you have to be medium to long term bullish on gold haven't you? Am i missing something here?

Yo Yo share - a great description!

Know that feeling well Fez. The way I look at it, as long as I'm making good profit it doesn't really matter because I don't expect to buy at the top or sell at the bottom. Because Randgold is such a rollercoaster ride, personally, would rather sell & take good profit than see the price fall the following day/week wiping out that gain. Great when it works out but if price rises, it means having to buy back in at a higher price which was difficult at first & took a while to get used to doing that. All I do really is trade the range by buying in volume on what is effectively a yo yo share.

Aha,the perennial dilemma of the investor. When to sell, when to buy? Fish and chips or curry? BMW M6 or Toyota Prius?

You did well, keylifeskills. I'm torturing myself with this stock! I could have made £1200 today and about £800 on Friday but I don't dare - in case I miss the big one. Last time we went up 5% I had sold my entire holding and lost (effectively) about £5000! What a dilemma! Still, its more exciting than working!

Ha, ha! Nah, more luck than anything but even that didn't last as share price didn't rise this afternoon as hoped. Often difficult to tell with Randgold even when signs look promising.
Name is taken from reasoning & critical thinking workshops I run in Schools when time allows.

Worked out this time but there's been plenty of times when it hasn't. On paper, have been down many times over the years & just had to sit it out but it's always come through.
