04/12/2017 14:48 | Beat me got mine at 170p, thought that was the bottom | johnv
04/12/2017 14:45 | Just bought 10,000 at 167.5 could have sworn this was 1.90 a week ago! | john09
04/12/2017 14:35 | Some drop this | john09
04/12/2017 13:47 | Either it’s the PM prices, consolidation , profit taking or simply a stock overhang, whatever it’s still a buy, the gap may close to 140 nonetheless! | bookbroker
04/12/2017 13:22 | What happens when a share has little liquidity I'm afraid. Surprised no takers, may have to fall a bit more to be rid of them, 1.40 level possibly | ronwilkes123
04/12/2017 13:00 | Big seller - GBP50k offered at 170.02 | mammyoko
04/12/2017 12:35 | Nothing but tank since the elder statesmen got involved sigh Someone didn't like those results imho | ronwilkes123
01/12/2017 12:52 | Yes we are somewhat | pillion
01/12/2017 11:22 | Yes, bring on the mega-p/e's ;-) Actually the name Ramsdens does sound a bit like somewhere you go in Scarborough to have fish and chips. | yump
01/12/2017 10:28 | Used the opportunity to take a few more myself this morning. | cfro
30/11/2017 18:07 | Very good GHF :o) | bigbigdave
30/11/2017 17:46 | Lol Glasshalfull :-) Or maybe introduce a robotics division with a "Prism" style rebrand & re-rate to 40x forecast sales...... | xajorkith
30/11/2017 17:35 | Yump - Yes, I’m panicking over the share price fall. Lol! As an aside I think the company will shortly be changing its name. Rumoured that choices include FEVER-Ramsdens; BOO-Ramsdens-HOO; Ramaden’s ZOO & Keywords Ramsden’s Studios. Idea is that the name change will propel the shares on to a PER 60-180! Simples! ;-) Kind regards GHF P.S. Added again today. | glasshalfull
29/11/2017 17:43 | Seem to remember after last results the penny was slow to drop with investors. Some will always sell on results/statements. All good here imo a conviction hold. | fozzie
29/11/2017 17:41 | The up or down on news thing is a lottery. Often prices rise into results and then drop badly. Depends a lot on how many traders are following and what is expected from results. Also on the size of the company as many smaller ones aren't followed much, while the larger ones are poured over endlessly, so whatever can be known in advance by private investors probably is, unless you're an insider. Its probably worth looking at the different parts of the business and working out which ones you think will benefit or lose from economic variations. They've worked to balance the business here, as it was very dependent on the precious metal price; now they've got a significant foreign exchange business as well + retail. | yump
29/11/2017 17:15 | I'm a novice investor and made the mistake many do of seeing oilers go up in value and jumped in. I ended up losing money so after reading a few books including The Naked Trader I set tight stop losses and now most of them are history. I bought Majestic Wines and GB Group on good news and watched them go up by over 10% in a few days, so when I saw similar news for Ramsdens I jumped in expecting similar results. I guess it will be more of a slow burner but happy to hold as it seems to be a good company with good prospects. I'm looking at this one as insurance against a drop in the economy as it might be very busy in the next year or two. | alibro
29/11/2017 16:41 | Just concentrate on the facts in the thread and double check whether peoples' opinions have any justification based on the facts, otherwise you'll not know which way to turn. Also this stock and oil are a long way apart as businesses. Depends what your objectives are I guess. Although that's just an opinion of mine ;-) | yump
29/11/2017 15:24 | Thanks mate, will do. I've been kinda wary of BB's since getting stung by a couple of oilers. | alibro
29/11/2017 15:22 | I see that the Naked Traders last transaction in Ramsden's was a buy at 169.8p with a target of 190p. His website is updated tomorrow. Hopefully he will have liked the results and remained invested/bought more. | muzmanoz
29/11/2017 15:17 | alibro - Worth reading through the thread. Plenty of recent information contained. Kind regards GHF | glasshalfull
29/11/2017 14:39 | Hi guys First post here. I bought a few shares on what I thought were good results. Price has done nothing but drop since, am I missing something??? | alibro
29/11/2017 11:52 | Given the mammoth drop, I'm surprised you're not freaked out GHF ! Although perhaps like (probably) the rest of us, you believe rather rashly that it has no significance, as you are waiting for longer term movements (even up to a year !!) that might deliver quite a lot of profit. (I'm afraid that although its the lowest form of wit, my sarcasm is lurking not far under the surface) ;-) | yump
29/11/2017 11:33 | BBD - Snap! Just added further 15k. PER 11 seems churlish given they’ve delivered over 80% of forecast earnings for the FY in the H1 alone & net cash is c. 25% of the market cap. Kind regards, GHF | glasshalfull
29/11/2017 10:55 | Added a few here, drop seems a bit daft on minimal volume. Happens with RFX tho. | bigbigdave
29/11/2017 10:41 | Ron you sound like a seller, who's trying to get back in on the cheap? I can tell by your sudden tone of posting. | igoe104 |
