22/12/2014 10:34 | I think people are buying when the see the steady gains without doing any research and the panicking when it starts to fall because the don't really know what they have bought! lol | johnthespacer
22/12/2014 10:11 | Thats why I invested John, I think this will do well. | fargonorthdakota
18/12/2014 10:26 | Have Faith people here is their last interim results
http://www.quartix.net/investors/Interim_Financial_Statements_30_June_2014_(signed).pdf
These show profit before tax of 3million for the half year to 30th of June 2014
The previous year had 2.1m for the half yr so this shows good growth.. The full year 2013 was 4.6 mill
if they do the same pbt as in first half that would put full year at 6 million (an increase of 30%)
Maiden Dividend paid in June
Cash in hand 0.4m
Market Cap at todays price is 70million
so priced at 11 times this years earnings
All Good in my opinion so stop the panics
Let me know what you think | johnthespacer
17/12/2014 13:14 | Yes thanks Mrx9000, I thought it best to sell and maybe read up a bit more with a view to getting back in at sometime. If your in a similar business and have concerns that's enough for me really. | battlebus2
17/12/2014 11:12 | battlebus: I would like to see more of a trading history on this one and also I am still not convinced by their product. It seems a decent product but not up with the best out there, competing in a very saturated market. | mrx9000
16/12/2014 20:11 | Well i sold the last of my holdings today, made a small profit in total, should have sold them all a few weeks back as nothing goes up forever, but must admit to not researching these enough to understand the business fully. Good luck all holders. | battlebus2
16/12/2014 11:02 | Gorilla,
Me too and many, many others....made and lost big money holding large positions over the years.....AIM has become a pure retail market which has zero regulation and where anyone with enough firepower can destroy value in no time at all, likewise they can do the opposite...all the research in the world won't change that and even where the fundamentals are sound they ruin a stock. The real trick is to avoid AIM shares that have zero income or which are heavy loss makers and rely entirely on discounted share issues to keep the lights on. You can get the odd share that has gone down due to poor sentiment which can change dramatically....I got lucky last week taking some LGO on the cheap and their last RNS came at the perfect time although it had been flagged for release around this time anyway.
Will be interesting too see what caused this drop today, assuming a forced seller dumped? | monkey puzzle
16/12/2014 10:26 | Actually they do sell the shares...it's just that they don't own the ones they sell, they "borrow" them (usually from nominee brokers)....they do own the ones they buy when when they close their short...but then they can sell those too and pocket the difference or keep them if the shares rise. | monkey puzzle
16/12/2014 10:23 | But surely a short does not actually sell shares so how does it cause the price to fall?
Thx | johnthespacer | |
16/12/2014 10:19 | RJD - The problem is some hedge fund manager in Mayfair decides he wants a new toy for xmas, wakes up this morning throws £50m short at QTX for a few days....bingo, 100's if not 1000's of PI stops taken out, he hoovers up all those £5k's and £10k's puts the £50m back in the petty cash box. Re run next week witha different co. It's the times we live in I'm afraid. I have a small holding but no stop. | gorilla36
16/12/2014 10:18 | Still recovering. Lets hope it was a cheeky tree shake. I can't see anything else wrong so fingers crossed. | fargonorthdakota
16/12/2014 09:55 | Stopped out big time! Not happy. | rjd1233
16/12/2014 09:34 | Worth a punt a these levels. | monkey puzzle
16/12/2014 09:25 | Tree shake. | toyin
16/12/2014 09:25 | 12p spread. | herewegouk
16/12/2014 09:24 | Maybe a big sale has gone through that isn't showing yet, otherwise looks odd. Level 2 looks quite strong at the moment. | herewegouk
16/12/2014 09:21 | Bargain! Got 2K at 125! | fruitninja84
16/12/2014 09:17 | Prices starting to recover, but bloody hell! | fargonorthdakota
16/12/2014 09:16 | Herewego - agree, pretty slim volumes. Short attack perhaps? | gorilla36
16/12/2014 09:08 | Not much volume tho. | herewegouk
16/12/2014 09:06 | More than a tree shake i assume at this level | johnthespacer
16/12/2014 09:03 | I would suggest somebody knows something, no doubt there will be an RNS at some point after those in the know have been allowed to off load. | gorilla36
16/12/2014 09:00 | 28 % down on no news? | muffster
