QQ.s 4th August statement is, I believe, a 1st Quarter Trading Statement.

The terminology I used in post 415 is quoted directly from QQ.'s financial calender.

Hope this gives us some confidence.

ULE Tnterims also due out. I believe that they also have defence contracts and have been suggested as prospects for merger or aquisition.

Our local tv news said there will probably be a delay on developing an eco-town at Whitehill/Bordon, Hampshire where MOD, army training, land needs to be released for development.

It may be a year before the big defence training contract decision is announced.

QQ. are in the consortium which is proposing shifting most defence training to Wales. In spite of money shortages the government appears to still be moving towards this

I believe the US aquisitions are performing ok.

I remain a patient holder hoping that the divi continues to rise.

Ultra have gone up today, against the market, on aquisition news.

Some time ago was it not suggested that Ultra would be a good merger partner or perhaps good to take over QQ?

Can we take some comfort that if things continue to drift with QQ. that there is still light at the end of the tunnel?

Bit of a disappointing downwards drift in last couple of weeks ; I thought we were going to continue a slow rise to 160 or thereabouts.Perhaps in the autumn?

I don't think the workers going on strike will bode well for Qnetiq. It will be interesting to see what happens.

It is the case that QQ. is an international company and its UK workers aren't exactly a prioroty, and in numbers terms are a small minority. Any strike action will escalate the move of its business out of the UK altogether. Let them strike for redundancy if they want.

Prospect members account for under 30% of staff. It would be interesting to know how many of these are really key people. With UK defence research spending on the decline there is a hint of madness here....

This stock is on my radar but I am not buying in until the results of the strike action ballot by staff.
