Tipped as a BUY in IC fwiw. They are enthusiastic about the Avantus buy and think the upward momentum will continue.
They also said BUY in Jan @ 337p.

Following results the share price has likely exceeded the maximum price they were prepared to pay per share. It makes no sense to keep buying at high prices. The cash available will be better utilised to raise the dividend or pay down some debt. Basic stuff really but good management all the same. I love this company.

Higher EPS = Bigger bonus for board. Champagne all round!

Also its a badge of shame as what it tells us is that we have this money and we cant find anything - anything that is, which will give more than a basic return.

Others who make from it are brokers buying them for QQ. They can use back doors , derivatives and other financial ways to get more than their 'commission'.

Give me the money as I can find a good use for it. But that does not suit the self serving interests of the BOD.

Shell and BP have been buying back shares for 25 years and it has never done anything for their share prices, which have gone nowhere over that period. How long term are you thinking?

So. They have bought back their own shares every day since the 8th February, when the price was 360p. And where is the share price now? 344p. They are just blowing the money away.
