Two trades at 22.4p via ISA and SIPP. I don’t have level 2 or broker or anything fancy

What did you manage to buy at? They seem to be playing with the spread...

The remaining contract is worth 5-7p a share I reckon... Remaining business is tricky, they have some inventory still, but possible closure costs (although I'm pretty sure they are in "selling it for £1" territory).Mentioning they might keep some of the cash hasn't helped?

I have current cash level at 41.4m euro / 22.6p p/share.

The market would appear to give no value to the balance of the contract and the remaining business.

Ahh, yes, 2.5m extra since award... Interest to 1st May.

It includes the accrued interest up to the date of the announcement.

Does your calculation include any interest accrued since the order was made?

So we were owed 36.5m euros. 14.5m euros has been paid.

That leaves a debt of 22m euros.

Take away the value of the wafers PVCS has to supply of around $11m, which is about 9.2m euros.

So PVCS will receive around 12.8m euros more. (Around £11.2m.)

The exact sum depends on how quickly the other lot get on with it (interest accumulating); any change in wafer prices in the meantime; and negotiations, of course, over what precise wafer price to use.

So we can expect another £10m or so?

Hi ZpCard7

Current wafer prices are averging around 0.475 dollars.

22.9 million x 0.475 = $10.88m.

(But there's a quite wide spread in wafer prices: so expect more bargaining!)

How much is 22.9 million wafers these days?

Finally, interest keeps getting added as well... Albeit a bit less now.

The payment reduces one source of uncertainty: it's highly unlikely now that the customer isn't going to respect the arbitration deal.
cjohn

Well that's about 30% of the payment made.. Not much left once you deduct the cost of the wafers if they still want them.

Should find out more at the AGM next week....?

And solar wafer prices continue to drop, which further reduces the value of the payment/ shipment that PVCS must make.

Most R&D grants are fairly "soft" in terms of project cancellations... You lose the rest of the agreed grant, but generally no claw backs.

The notes to the accounts have a Lease break credit of 0.65m, due to a discounted settlement post year. And the 180k pm interest on the award should more than cover any operating losses and redundancies in the current half.

Should they ultimately seek to wind up, the German operations receive an r&d grant, what are the terms and conditions of the r&d grants and the amount repayable in event of breach?
