05/7/2018 10:05 | In my area they have sold 2 properties that I am aware of recently, one being my friend's flat. There is hardly a PURP board anywhere, and some local agents are very negotiable on fees, so the PURP price advantage is not as large as some would have you believe, and local aganets are clearly going to respond to prtect their businesses rather than simply roll over and die as some here believe. Poor results, IMO, but a large cash pile so no problems in the near future, they are able to continue making losses. | andy
05/7/2018 09:43 | So Purp make 7 million profit in the UK. Woopie-do. So this global expansion is based on tiny UK profits - talk about ideas above your station! In my town after initial success they have faltered. Never seen them have so much as a 3 bed semi, flats and low end terraces seems their staple fare. I think it will take a lot more money to smash the glass ceiling and break into the wider higher value market. Sounds like growth through aquisition is the new strategy for this cash guzzling enterprise. | ltcm1
05/7/2018 09:42 | Looks good to me, and a buy around 300p. Doubled revenue, and EBITDA profit in U.K. Early days! | rogthepodge

05/7/2018 09:00 | I disagree staverly, they may have to adjust the business model slightly as it progresses but they have and will continue to have traction and growth in various markets but once critical mass is achieved, it will then take a lot to move it off it`s perch as brand leader. | clocktower
05/7/2018 08:09 | Just had a quick skim using a handheld ... don't have a clue how expectations were set, but to my mind these numbers make the business model look desperate. Rather than the inevitable pouring of such a bountiful cash pile down the drain, BOD should announce a special dividend, wish Woodford luck, and close the business down. | staverly
04/7/2018 15:48 | We all have noticed, for all your protestations, that you and Winnie make the same spelling mistakes. Pure coincidence we know. And you know also that we came up the Thames in a coracle just last week. As somebody said, you truly lack dramaturgical skills. Your little conversations with yourself are ever so stilted. LOL | solonic
04/7/2018 14:40 | I am short of WPCT??? No, I am long, but now certain not to add. In fact, I will be selling the remainder (a good exit point, IMO). Why? Because of some imformative posts by the likes of ltcm1 and topvest and my own investigations. Does not help your theory stand up, despite the number of times I have tried telling you I have nowt to do with anyone else. Just because a group of peoples' thoughts are correlated does not mean that they are in cahoots. And as Andy just stated, you are either having a laugh or naive to think that. | chucko1
04/7/2018 11:03 | Oh yes, you are short of WPCT and PURP but you don't declare your nefarious agenda. You just pop up under the 40 different names. Like Ali Baba's lovely little friends. | chuckol

03/7/2018 16:42 | posters on these threads where TW is short, are almost solely: either TW or person or people who live up his rear end he was sacked as a fund manager why do you think that was? now pretending to be an investigative journo, like his unc hmmmmmmm! | rogthepodge
03/7/2018 16:38 | I am bored with this different views make a market enough already! | rogthepodge
03/7/2018 12:20 | rog the problem Woodford has is not profits (although the fund is still way under launch price) but that he has borrowed 170m and totally maxed out the amount he can borrow under the terms of his investment trust rules. So he has no spare cash, nearly all his investments are in unquoted companies and now he is facing a further funding round in up to 20 of them. Purplebricks is one of the few quoted stocks he owns so he might have to reduce his stake in order to free up cash. Ofcourse he may find some other solution but perhaps he is selling a little every day right now. Would be seen as smart by many. | ltcm1
03/7/2018 10:12 | Woody has had some nice profits in that fund recently, has he not? and any evidence of him selling PURP? do please share | rogthepodge |
