Hi sleveen, Just out of interest and sorry for continuing O/T for others. The fruitflow stuff as I understand it is to help prevent platelet aggregation and formation of a thrombosis (for those worried about this?). My understanding of statins is to prevent fat (LDL) build up and thinning of arteries. So would a trial comparing them be comparing the same thing? Warfarin is an anti-coagulant so is this not doing (roughly) the same job as the fruitflow? Layman's terms...

PXS I wouldn't give it house room until there is clinical evidence of benefit ie randomised controlled trials verses placebo or better still vs simvastatin 40mg warfarin is used in patient with atrial fibrillation to prevent venous side ischaemic occlussion. additionally circulatory disease is now referred to as vascular disease eg stroke, TIA, peripheral vascular diesease, renal impairment etc. Lecture over:-)

Felix99 looking at the share price now you are not missing anything. Common mistake on my part, too confident when sentiment is the other way!

what is there to like the look of in the trading statement ? Seems to me they missed tonnage by a country mile and are saying that expect to ship more in deals in 2010 and 2011? Sounds pretty vague to me ? ??? Any idea what tonnage they reckon they will do this financial year then your friend ? As for the numbers - 2 brokers forecasts on PQ with profit froecasts from £13m to £14m compared to actual of not less than $11m ???????? How is that good? - even assuming the proquote figs should be £ not $ - its possible but I doubt it . They still missed by loads. EPS ? MKT cap £260m at 196p per proquote. So ££7m profit = $11m what p.e is that? 35-40? - Brokers forecasts for next year assume a quadrupling of profit ???? - need it to justify the p/e on a company thats just put out that wonderful trading statement? I;d love to know on what basis your pal is very upbeat for rest of year? I think £1.50 might not be cheap at present having just reviewed the above numbers. Am I missing something?

I sold as soon as the shorting campaign began, love or hate the evil one it is not wise to go against him in a tiddler like this..... Bought a few back and will add more if there are any cheaper... Like the look of the trading statement and had a little chat with a friend in the know, very upbeat about the rest of the year.

not sure about a buy just yet. I think there is no rush to buy now until a deal is done and even then it may not boost price. Still a lot of hope value in here and I think any deal is priced in to price already to keep it here. The chartists say 150p is support and thats where I can see this drifting down to before any rise to be honest. I sold out at 250p my remaining holding and shorted from 245 to 200. Don;t see any rush to long in this mkt until 150p when I may have a punt. MM';s mark this down another 10p and more stops will get hit imho PS Well Done Evil - and I don;t see him closing anytime soon on that IMS - or any other shorters I expect.

I understand what you guys are saying but it's a growth story and although as nurdin points out they are below estimates, brokers don't take into account the length of time branded NPD takes. I am happy at this price and would rather be in before they announce more deals.

felix99: I like the stock don;t get me wrong but its ahead of the game right here. Looks like it will stick here though and then no doubt they will announce some deal and it will be off again - might hop aboard again then but not before. Agreed

amazed - I closed my short at death last night at £2 and thought i'd missed out on 40 pts odd. All jam tomorrow and whats the p/e now? Adding capacity like no tomorrow but where is the demand ? I like the stock don;t get me wrong but its ahead of the game right here. Looks like it will stick here though and then no doubt they will announce some deal and it will be off again - might hop aboard again then but not before

Hi biggestartist, I did have a quick read up. IMO it's one of those punts to maybe put a little bit on, bit of a gamble. The numbers don't look great, and I wonder when they will run out of cash? But if they get one of the deals then all could look very rosy. But will they? These brands do so much consumer research, that can take years, then fall flat at the last hurdle. I've had first hand experience of this. Then suppose it gets to that stage (sp would be way up) but who would buy it? I don't understand the concept, but maybe I miss something? A drink (or whatever) that helps maintain healthy blood flow. How do you know that your blood flow is not healthy. If you have a stoke or heart attack they put you on warfarin to do this. I guess a product for what the medical profession call the worried well? Just my opinion and I am no expert.
