Looks convincing if you view the chart as a falling wedge with support at 80p. I've drawn 2 top lines but either way it's breakout. Needs to sutain short-term, suspect it will do... and more.

Agree with all recent posts - Obvious aquisiton target, pennies for some.

Moving up steadily; I can see £1 in a week or two.

she-ra - the whole reason I was here on Friday was because I'm buying.

Chart says buy here imo.

£45m net cash, PE of around 11, 4% yield and AGM May 7th.

Screams short term buy with that rugged computer contract imo - AGM should be very positive.

I think I'll be out at a £1+ after the AGM.

diku - I wouldnt worry it was just the end of day auction.Interesting that Psion is very receptive to any buying.

I think Psion will be taken out.If you read Intermec's annual report they talk of looking for acquisitions as their main route for growth.I think Psion as well as LXE could be potential targets. The weak pound vs the dollar could make Psion a very attractive proposition.

I also cant see HP or Dell not entering this market at some point.Psion as well as a few others would be key for them to do this. Ignoring the recession this segment has been and is expected to continue being a double digit growth industry.

THORPEMATT - "but i do wonder if it's just a market maker mark-up (after being tipped)."
Yawn.

3% up is a pretty good rise on a red day, but i do wonder if it's just a market maker mark-up (after being tipped).

I still think we'll see a decisive shift one way or another shortly...

Hope this Sunday Times recommendation gives a boost to the share price and out of this 80-86p trading range..

rathkum, thanks for the link (I think you missed the ".asp" but the below has it tagged back on and should work).

here's a quote "The ruggedness of our devices is critical as they are used by the DoD in a variety of conditions such as tracking vehicles, warehousing operations, safety and security...

Believe what you like She-ra. I just happened to look in here seeing PON had come off. If you really think I run two handles you can get ADVFN to check.

Fortunately I'm not as paranoid of you as you are of me :-)

And I'm not Simon Gordon - he chats on my thread - sorry but I have enough trouble talking to all those that post there let alone talk to myself.

Good points (both)

I couldn't find (or have time) for stripping out the ruggedized devices, of course motorola is well known for the "domestic" user as much as the commercial.

If psion can specialize and take a fraction of share then we have a massive winner. My figure merely highlights the potential and as a small cap in comparison, growth is there for the taking...

rathkum: Is there a link for the US Army order please?

If they are good for US army who have ordered a further 1400 units, they must be good for anyone

THORPEMATT - That figure isnt for rugged hand devices. They sell alot of other different industrial/business to business products that arent in the same market as Psion's products.

she-ra (thanks, and no worries)

Continuing research: I note that our UPS delivery driver currently uses Motorola hand-held (although he tells me they are getting new ones soon)

I note that screwfix use Motorola too.

This is from the Motorola annual report:
"The Mobile Devices segment designs, manufactures, sells and services wireless handsets, including smartphones, with integrated software and accessory products, and licenses intellectual property. The segment's net sales in 2009 were $7.1 billion, representing 32% of the Company's consolidated net sales."

So a small slice will be just fine thanks...

She-ra - I don't do multi-handles either - I've had one name all my time here, 10 years.

I think you might be paranoid - I posted something negative on PON once and you seem to think I have a vendetta - I don't, despite you trying to talk a stock of mine down just out of bitterness.

THORPEMATT - Apologies.
I think I read that 60% or 80% of the worlds ports use Psion. So they cant be bad.

she-ra. Not quite sure what you are saying but hope this clarifies:
I don't do pseudonyms (My profile is there to be viewed, you can trace my IP and compare it to others very easily should you wish via software readily available.)

I don't de-ramp

I don't slate

I only try to add useful comments, and prompt thoughts and discussions.

I like this stock (else I wouldn't post)

I don't currently hold (as i believe the market is about to decide a key point for the S.P). I have already stated this. I am 60% sure it will breakout (40% it will continue down). I believe the share price is too cheap.

I am not sure about the products, I'd like people to add their views regarding the product - hence the links. I've been asking delivery drivers and the like for their views too.

Sorry if this is an over reaction but I want to be clear.
