LONDRES (Agefi-Dow Jones)--Les établissements financiers britanniques très présents en Asie, comme HSBC, Standard Chartered et l'assureur Prudential, profitent du retrait par le gouvernement de Hong Kong d'un projet de loi controversé d'extradition vers la Chine. Prudential enregistre la plus forte progression du FTSE 100, s'adjugeant 4,7%. "Prudential est très exposé à l'Extrême-Orient et le rebond de la Bourse de Hong Kong en réaction aux déclarations de [la dirigeante de l'île, Carrie] Lam concernant le retrait du projet de loi d'extradition soutient le titre", commente David Madden, de CMC Markets. L'indice phare de la Bourse de Hong Kong, le Hang Seng, a bondi de 3,9% mercredi. Standard Chartered et HSBC gagnent 3% et 1,6% respectivement.
