I see a good article on GDPR has been posted today on the Location Sciences portal

Further to my post 6891 Jo Rabin has now confirmed on his LinkedIn profile that his role in 'building a sustainable platform for a re-invented business' ended last month.

Presumably his work will allow Paul Hayton, the new CTO, to develop the next stage of Location Science's evolution.

...but selling due to knowledge of a pending placing would be insider dealing if proved. (if you remember a former director of Prox was caught doing that and fined and censured by the FCA in relation to another AIM stock!)

So yesterday's share price fall was not due to a pending placing but due to Jonathan Hicking selling.

The Placing and open offer has not been underwritten by Peel Hunt or any other party.

That developed quickly - fine till noon then bang - wall of sells. So £3m market cap. Another £1m placing maybe?! Alot earlier than I thought if that is the case and doesn't give much confidence as two prospect of 2nd DP payment. But maybe they are looking for clean start and funding with new name.Gonna take some confidence for people to get involved again, surely they won't shaft holders with another big discount? What happens to Peel with all those shares they hold at .3 that they are desperate to flog. Didn't they underwrite the last placing which led to then holding a load. If that is the case, discount could be heavy if they look to make back losses.Let's hope they have some good RNS' on the back burner to pump this back up. They desperately need some fuel for the fire

I am happy to recognise you were closer to the mark than Boffster with your cash holding prediction. However, it would have been helpful if you had shared your calculations for readers to make a judgement.

Yep, happy to say your cash prediction was pretty accurate. After over 4 years of working on this business they really haven't got very far and it may be tricky to raise even more money later this year (from who?) You'd think they'd have worked out before now that admin costs have been far too high for a very long time.

Figures revised at taking into account the drop in admin costs and a revenue increase of 50% and drop in grant income.

You are still looking at May when a fundraise might be kicking off, with cash running out by the end of June by my estimates. With another £1m-£1.5m for them to raise you that could mean dilution of up to 50%. It just gets so tricky when the market cap is £3m, trying to raise the amount of funds they need to run this company per year.

I feel they may have held out on releasing contract details for some RNS statements in the coming months. So a few opportunities to get out, but very disappointing again that in just under 10 months the same cash issues are coming up again.

It's very difficult to build a new business model from scratch like this, especially with high admin costs - GDPR will not help this year either. Lots of fluff on data points and I admire the cost cutting but just not enough to make this business a goer imo.

Just going through the detail in the report, the DP sale proceeds appear to be in the cash and ...

Good post Boffster.
Looks like a bit of a turn around for them as a company to me.
Unfortunate it's when the general stock market is looking volatile though.

Hey, I don't mind saying your cash prediction was nearer the mark than mine, I am disappointed with remaining cash balance and I would agree that further funding would appear inevitable - then again some encouraging rhetoric and although £470k revenue might not sound much, worth bearing in mind that £420k of this was achieved in the latter half, so will be interesting to see what sort of growth trajectory can be achieved.

Really a tale of two halves for me.
