Sorry but who says they can only be signed up in their residency?, wouldn't prove they actually reside there!. All proof of ID and property ownership/address etc can be done digitally, yes they may need to sign paperwork but that can be done via post, so still don't see that it's an issue......unless legally it all has to be done 1-2-1, but I'm not aware it is a legal/regulatory requirement.

I did put a post on here a couple of months ago, they could pick up cash through a letterbox or open window. The point I was stating is regarding home credit customer growth. I can't see it being possible with social distancing. New customers can only be sign up in their property, to verify residency and confirm ID, also signing agreements and issuing credit. This cannot be done on the doorstep. Up to recently even a relative wasn't allowed in your property.

From what I've read there is nothing to say you can't use cash for door to door collections. If you go to hairdresser/barber or supermarket you don't have to use a card, you can use cash they just prefer you not to.

All I was trying to say is. home credit customer growth cannot happen until social distancing ends. Once this happens, the company will take off.

Book. Most of home credit customers do not have bank accounts. That's why Provident is a fantastic company, serving these clients. The banks are not in the business to serve these people. These customers need Provident and they know it.

Sea. Thanks for your advice. I have already gone long now and agree with you. Short is too hard work. It's going to take time to pull things around but it will happen.

Most folk will be taking their loans direct to their bank account, with less cash in circulation likely direct to consumer only going to grow, it is something the business tried to achieve up to 2017, but that has changed!

I would just like to enlighten people to the facts. Home credit companies have stated that in a recession the business grows. This is true. However, this is not just a financial recession but a viral recession, which makes this a totally different ball game. Since lookdown, it has been impossible to grow the customer base due to social distancing. If any new clients have been signed up during this time, the company will be in breach of the rules and regulations.

Doubt it, he was likely going to leave once he had sorted out the business, was brought back in 2017 to put the business back on a sound footing, job done and H&T obviously provided him with a decent offer. Not easy operating out of Bradford!

WOW. Chris Gillespie leaving the company once again. The backbone of the home credit. This is very bad news. There's a hole in the bucket dear Liza, dear Liza. There's a hole in the bucket dear Liza, a hole. Batten down the hatches.

Impressive individual details from Linkedin exciting hire at exciting times the management are looking like they are worth following and we should not forget the excellent Malcolm Le May, Chief Executive Officer of Provident Financial who used to be Head of European Investment Banking at UBS where his speciaility was FIG and Global Head of IBK at ING with a market cap of a around half of the NAV ...wont be a walk in the park but this team looks well funded and contain a hell of a lot of experience. surprised there has not been a bid at this knock downed price from ne of Malcolm's clients.

Quite often bounces round this RSI level and risk reward tempting as technically its trading at nearly half of its NAV which means armagedon is arguabbly priced in when globally the powers are chucking cash at everyone....interesting times...had a mini nibble to add.
