08/1/2020 08:04 | Peel Hunt recently stated that PFG are now providing "a high dividend yield of 8% in 2020 rising to 9.4% in 2021." Can anyone explain what this is based upon since the current dividend payments of 10p in June and 9p in September constitute a yield of just 4.3% so are there expected to be two more quarterly payments on a similar basis to increase this to circa 38p over the next 6 months. I've looked at their recent reports but cannot see anything to indicate quarterly dividends going forward or projected yields for 2020. | masurenguy

07/11/2019 13:26 | The mad Woodford overhang now being unwound quickly by Blackrock will help these to get some proper liquidity. Should start doing much better. | porsche1945
07/11/2019 09:50 | The advfn link is broken for me but I see amongst the detail "The redress required to resolve the issues arising in respect of the investigation into affordability, forbearance and termination options has now been completed and Moneybarn awaits final notice from the FCA. The total settlement is expected to be within the previously announced financial provision of £20m." Good to see an end to that one. The broadly positive in line statements are , to me , rather tempered by past events . Fine to say things are getting better but the question is what other calamities and mismanagement is round the corner , especially with a turbulent market. | wad collector
07/11/2019 08:50 | Nice Q3 update, now chart has a confirmed reverse head and shoulders pattern. share price has much further to go. Happy days | wallywoo

24/10/2019 07:57 | Looks like Link offloaded that 4% without too much trouble - if results at the end of month are at all positive I think this could start taking a closer £5. Big Dirextors buys a few moths ago at 450 and 500 I recall. | paulab203

11/10/2019 16:06 | Ever is a long time. If the company survives then inflation will eventually take these to £30 , but bit meaningless as their true value won't rise. | wad collector
03/10/2019 12:00 | I think if the business makes a proper sustained recovery then these could rise above £10, but can't see these ever returning to £30. Remember there has been a lot of dilution through the rights issue, so even if earnings recover, eps will still be a lot lower. | riverman77
03/10/2019 11:53 | I wonder how many private investors still hold PFG shares that they bought for over £30? What is the likelihood of those levels being reached again? | melmoo
03/10/2019 07:51 | Hopefully yesterday's panic will be short lived and the share price will re-commence it's climb back to a reasonable level. Fingers crossed! | melmoo

29/8/2019 07:30 | That doesn't explain the 7.9% share price rise on Tuesday...at one stage up more than 10%. Maybe there was a broker upgrade. | robinnicolson
28/8/2019 22:13 | If you check NSF news the failed take over caused a big loss blah blah, so guess read across is pfg took a hit on it too. All IMO | paulmurphy777
28/8/2019 16:36 | From what I saw the drop was credited to claims companies looking to shift from ppi to other issues like over the top interest rates . | taximania
28/8/2019 12:39 | Puzzled by the gyrations in the recent stock price and this line in 'The Times' newspaper today under 'The day's biggest movers': Provident Financial: "Announces quarterly dividend" 7.9% change There was no RNS announcement from PFG yesterday. A case of mistaken identity, confusing PFG with Provident Financial Services Inc. (PFS) in the United States!!? | robinnicolson |
