"So, any deal with Petronas and KEL is certainly under discussion if they are talking gas. Who else?" >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> So says the number one lunatic, Manyana, on the lse asylum board! You get all the juiciest inside PVR information from this resident of Cloud Cuckoo Land! ROFLMAO. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Manyana also posts "Quote: "Providence Resources strike deal with Petronas - " "Ireland: Providence strikes another deal with Petronas ..." "Giant Petronas eyes a €600m bid for Providence Resources ..." Who instigated these" >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I'll tell Manyana. It was the Independent News & Media Group with it's long standing links to the O'Reilly family.

We are talking hopefully 2-3 years before production - present day price of oil has only sentiment value

Steel, Impressed that Al is so strategically focussed after barely 2 months in charge. There is no way the incoming government will agree to banning all exploration as energy security is very important. Great to see an industry veteran at the helm and he is confident of getting $50m for 2 appraisal wells at Barryroe.

Fortunately, Barryroe is at the appraisal stage, so shouldn't be affected by such a ban. However, if Al can secure the much longed for farm/take out, let's hope us long term stalwarts can finally escape without a pauper's send off!

The quote below in the same article from the leader of the Greens must be concerning: "Green Party leader Eamon Ryan previously told the Sunday Independent that an outright ban on exploration would be top of his agenda in government negotiations." Current view is that FF will lead the next government but need the Greens for stability - remember that FF voted for the Brid Smith proposals - which had majority support in parliament - to ban all immediately exploration immediately. The outgoing government, to their credit, refused on the basis that existing contracts had to be honoured which is good for PVR. Life could get interesting if Greens insist that this is a red line issue for joining a coalition govt.

Cheers Ftj. Seems Al has his feet on the ground and low hanger oriented, unlike our erstwhile daydreamer. https://www.independent.ie/business/irish/providence-to-back-out-of-deep-atlantic-to-focus-on-barryroe-39023893.html

Piece in today's Indo saying Providence will tap investors in the coming weeks. Alan,Pat and the redoubtable Joseph P.Nally will be needing their Weetabix in visits to The Square Mile....

Cep,Pageant Holdings should be good for that amount but Alan has to have a decent well capitalised partner onboard.

They need keep the lights on money for a year, or two. A couple of million should cover that? 50-100 million shares. That would not be end of world dilution. It would stop them being over a barrel. Plus that's pocket change for an institutional investor and will be a great opportunity for an existing one to average down.

Steel, And when he's got a Barryroe deal then he can get a fundraise at a premium to current share price.
