28/8/2018 08:45 | The Exola/APEC farmout agreement is only for the three Barryroe wells plus sidetracks, yet the seabed surveys are for four potential well-sites. Sites B and D are not close to one another, but are into the same Central South Barryroe panel so it would never be likely that both would be drilled. In fact, more than likely there is redundancy built in, depending on the results of the site-surveys, so that either B or D would be drilled under the farmout agreement. | itsriskythat
28/8/2018 08:17 | Cheers GD. I know you have worked in the offshore O&G sector so you've probably hit the nail on the head. Clock is ticking now on some substantial developments! | funtimejonny
28/8/2018 08:12 | Ftj, Good find.(1) PVR have applied for permit to carry out seabed survey for 4 wells at Barry, to commence 1 September. IMHO. This is a feasibility study on how a 4 flowing wells will be connected up subsea. Via Jumpers and hooked up to a central flexible larger dia pipe with its end capped and buoyed/floating, to be hooked up to an small FPSO. Still early days! ATB, GD | greatfull dead

28/8/2018 06:56 | I've looked at the documents that Kinsale have put together and their phasing plan for decommissioning leaves the bits PVR might use until last...so could be potential deal there. | funtimejonny

28/8/2018 06:19 | There is some interesting new info posted on the LSE board: (1) PVR have applied for permit to carry out seabed survey for 4 wells at Barry, to commence 1 September. (2) Detailed info re Kinsale Energy decommissioning of their infrastructure is now available on their company website. This has all given rise to discussions about the Barry partners taking over part of the Kinsale kit (the A platform and the pipeline from it to Barry and the line to shore and the Inch receiving facility...for expoiting the gas). Recently IOG got a cracking good deal buying a gas pipeline into Bacton terminal no longer required by a major. Might be an opportunity for PVR and partners to do the same? | funtimejonny

27/8/2018 14:30 | Fun - from Irish Times: takeover includes Top Oil forecourt business. "Irving Oil’s announcement this week of a deal to takeover the Tedcastle group of companies, for something north of €100 million, brings a second Canadian company on to Irish forecourts in three years. The deal gives Irving control of the Dublin-headquartered Top Oil brand, which recently expanded operations into company-owned retail forecourts and aviation fuel." | panadin
27/8/2018 10:56 | ...and presumably they are pretty certain there's about to be a whole load of refining about to be required, and from a suitably local source | riley9
27/8/2018 08:46 | Wonder will they make a bid for a forecourt operator next? Wonder will they sign an offtake agreement for Barry oil (and invest what is needed to refine it at Whitegate)? Watch this space. | funtimejonny
27/8/2018 06:03 | Well refining and marketing is their speciality. | hermana3
27/8/2018 05:27 | Could they be looking to turn it into the Irish equivalent of Aberdeen, perhaps ? All a bit pointless until they get OIG out. Someone's confident.... | riley9
