Suspect it will be held around this level a while - profitable for OPEC, not quite so for Russia and not at all for shalers. OPEC will be happy with that.

Should be getting confirmation of Cairn farming into Avalon or not and Total farming into Druid/Dromberg/Diablo or not tomorrow. Sep 26 was plugging and abandoning confirmation, Sep 29 was payment of circa 6 m us dollars by Total as specified in contract agreement so 60 days brings us to tomorrow ( including bank holidays).

Well here we are in the last week of trading before the festivities and yet again as far as our leader is concerned 'silence is golden'.

When will we drill Barryroe?. The chances of it being during 2018 must now be fading fast for the following reasons. Firstly as yet we have no information on the booking of a rig, which in itself is not a big problem. Secondly there has still, as yet, been no sign of a partner stepping up, and thirdly, and more worrying to me is the fact that LOGP has to stump up it's share of the costs which we know, as yet, it hasn't got.

There is no way that PVR are going to pay for LOGP unless they come to some agreement over the share of Barryroe that LOGP own or, take them out or, find a partner in order to reduce the share LOGP have to pay (20%).

How can final arrangements be made when all of the funds needed to effect the drill are not yet in place or are at least uncertain. This must surely be slowing down the process, which is why I feel 2019 is the more likely date, unfortunately

As usual all these questions remain unanswered.

Well that's me for this year so I will bid you all a very happy Christmas and may we all, with PVR and LOGP, for once see a return on our investment.
