24/7/2017 10:10 | PaeffWas that metres or ft, I think the total TD for druid and drombeg is just shy of 6000m.I think druid target is 4000m, by next Monday they might be at first target..Imho | neo26
24/7/2017 10:06 | why is the share price falling this defies sense and logic what is the chance of a hit it must be low or else the market is wrong..it rarely is | resourceful
24/7/2017 09:56 | I have just had a look back at the Barryroe drill. An RNS was issued on 21/11/2011 stating that drilling had commenced and a further RNS (progress report) was issued on 14/12/2011 stating they had reached a subsea vertical depth of 4038'. That is just 23days to reach that depth. Makes me wonder if our first TD (Druid) is so very far away. However, how much information will they be willing to make public, and at what stage, particularly if they are to continue on to drill Drombeg. just food for thought. regards | peaeff

24/7/2017 09:35 | not an ounce of excitement in the share price no surprise though, after all, its not like we're in the closing stages of the biggest drill this year pretty much anywhere, into a highly prospective field backed by one of the biggest majors on the planet and 1,000's of hours of data analysis backing up the decision to drill with the most advanced drill ship there is or anything, is it. | riley9

24/7/2017 08:03 | Over the years I've had a few pints with John Robertson, also had the pleasure of playing against him.For a number of years he was truly unbelievable.I was told a story that during a practice practice game John McGovern the forest captain laid on a fantastic ball to another player. He was then told by Cloughie, for F sake McGovern I only ask you to do one thing, give the ball to Robertson. If you cannot do it I will get someone who will! | ngms27
23/7/2017 21:55 | JonnyT (not FTJ), I watched a bit of that Forest side back in the 70's, Cloughie took them from the doldrums to winning the 2nd division and then the 1st division in successive seasons followed by back to back European cup victories.. I think that comes about as close to walking on water as you can get in footballing terms n'cest pas...? I still have a fabulous slow motion memory against my team. Robertson broke away down the wing and Peter Withe ran though the middle, slowed and then pointed exactly where he wanted the ball which duly arrived on a sixpence and he ran on to it and smashed in the back of the net from the edge of the box - a glorious goal (and that was in 1977). As for next week being too early for penetration, only Mrs Jonny knows the answer to that one.... | control1

23/7/2017 15:50 | Funtimejonny 23 Jul '17 - 09:08 - 49550 of 49560 0 0 Thanks for posting above item. Odd that oil migrates upwards...would have expected gravity to take it down! >>>>> The density of crude oil is lower than that of water, Ftj, which is why oil slicks float on water. | papillon
23/7/2017 15:18 | I'd think they will be setting casing just above Druid, that process alone will take two to three days.I'd think next week is too early for penetration | ngms27
23/7/2017 15:00 | I also found it difficult to understand how 50% of Nottingham thought that Brian Clough walked on water. | ngms27
23/7/2017 13:50 | Sorry for the physics 101 1cagney, I couldn't really believe that FTJ posted that. | buffythebuffoon
23/7/2017 12:42 | Expectations can be a fine thing, but how often do they work out as we expect. I believe that the first section, ie the Conductor pipe was put in on tue 11/07 I then believe that they then drilled a section 650m-850m deep and followed by putting in the casing pipe and cementing the void between 11/07 & 17/07 I then believe that on the evening of 17/07 the icemax moved 350m-400m off its position. I believe that this was done to move to a safe zone to build the 2250m riser pipe and attach the BOP. Icemax returned to its original position on the evening of the 19/07 where I presume they attached the BOP to the top of the Conductor pipe, on Friday the 20th they continued to drill using a smaller bit. This I believe is ongoing at the moment and will continue for the next number of days. This is where I get a little lost. Can they drill this section in one go down to the Cap rock or must it be done in different stages. If they can drill right down to the cap rock in one go, then it should only take a few days maybe 8-10 (from my calculations it should be about 800m) However if this is done in 2 or more sections then this will naturally take longer. If the above is true then I believe that anytime in the second half of this week, ie thu or fri, we could see some movement, that is provided that the guys on bord are getting some results. So hopefully by next weekend they have drilled through the Cap rock and proceed to put in casing on this 800m section and cement the void. Now we have shows (or not) and its time to decide what is next. The reservoir is 85m approx. and if oil baring they will drill using a coring bit to take out a section or sections and bring up to ship for further testing, run wire line logs and case in this section to protect the well. After that there will be no Perforating the casing in the oil bearing section and the drill bit will rotate down to the next target, Drombeg 1000m deeper down. The above could be total rubbish, but this is what I believe. If anybody finds any mistruths or inaccuracies in the above feel free to contradict me, and correct where appropriate. We all want this to be a winner. NK | notaskanger

23/7/2017 09:26 | Hi FTJ, What direction does the steam from your kettle go. Does your bath rubber duck move to the bottom of the bath due to gravity? Why do we have oil slicks on the surface of the water? All these overcome gravity for different reasons. Oil moves from a higher pressure zone to a lower pressure zone. If you have an impermeable seal the migrating oil is trapped. Buffy | buffythebuffoon |
