02/12/2016 15:09 | How do you expect people who are not medically trained to fully understand? You don't FULLY understand your self. | lafin
02/12/2016 14:46 | Gix; "Surly if you are at risk of a stomach bleed for some other reason then you would be on the proper medication???" No, many people are undiagnosed or asymptomatic. "This means that with aspirin they clot much more slowly, which experts said can cause gastric bleeding." No, Aspirin, as a cyclo-oxygenase inhibitor, reduces prostacyclin mediated gastric mucosal protection. It's nothing to do with clotting per se. It's back to what I said originally. It's not as simple as some think and many misunderstand. Frankly I don't know how that applies to you but your comments lead me to believe that you might not fully understand. | librag
02/12/2016 14:28 | LibraG, Suppose its down to how you interpret it. I read it as "there is no increased risk of death from stomach bleeding in people who take regular aspirin" but "regular use of the drug increases the risk of stomach bleeds by about a half" Surly if you are at risk of a stomach bleed for some other reason then you would be on the proper medication??? It goes on to say "However, experts found Fruitflow, which is derived from an ingredient found around the seeds of a tomato, has a similar but more beneficial effect, slowing down the reactions of platelets while still letting them clot naturally. This means that with aspirin they clot much more slowly, which experts said can cause gastric bleeding." Maybe its me but I still don't see how the article is in any way negative for PXS and DSM would probably agree with me as I would assume its them that have paid for the increased media on Fruitflow in the Express. 4 articles since 23/ Nov from the same Journalist. | gix er
02/12/2016 13:25 | Lafinorcryin; Agreed, I preferred life when you didn't have the internet as well. :) | librag
02/12/2016 13:12 | There is always profit taking after a multibagger rise. No worries. Strong hold. | johndee
02/12/2016 13:06 | None of this has any meaning. I think I prefered life without the internet. | lafin
02/12/2016 12:50 | Notlafinatall; which is exactly why your list of side effects has no meaning. ps. it's not impossible just improbable. | librag
02/12/2016 12:47 | That is impossible. | lafin
02/12/2016 12:30 | Notlafinmuchnow; and now put incidence rates on them ... | librag

02/12/2016 10:51 | Libra, I think it will probably get back to 0.95p ish before close :::: Drop to 0.4p (if this actually happens) will give a bounce back towards 1p anyway. no need to panic IMO and if holding for the long term these erratic days are all par for the course :-) Good luck | senor_sensible
02/12/2016 09:28 | Aspirin Aspirin can have many other side effects as well as bleeds into the stomach. | lafin
02/12/2016 08:35 | Guns, I have no idea what you are trying to get at but please show me the "de facto negative for a company" that I posted. | gix er
01/12/2016 23:50 | Bareknee, not sure where the "investor" pejoratively speeched marked noun originates from; you have been extremely candid about your own trading ergo there is no issue with engaging in retail type activity with shares as the commodity. Why do Gixer and Dragon on iii et al actually bother? Its easily possible that pxs could be swallowed up tomorrow at a modest premium or indeed go south for a number of reasons. Why waste time publishing the most nerdy of articles? No offence but I do not really see the utility function in it as the general drift of progress is pitifully easy to visualise. Then to publish what is a de facto negative for a company in which one is a co-owner? Makes zero sense unless a valid critique of strategy, personnel, finances etc. Love the product etc etc. Is this pseudo-intellectual rigour gone sausage side? Personally I am in paper profit and have not traded pxs on any significant level for a few years. I want it to win in order to prove my skill at being a value investor concurrent to a recovery play one. | gunsofmarscapone
01/12/2016 08:11 | Cheers Gixer Duttaroy fit's the stereotype of the eccentric scientist perfectly ! He's no mug though, so lets hope his analysis has a positive outcome. | bareknee
01/12/2016 07:30 | lol, kingjim on red channel pushing for news!!!!!!! so that will be the general theme for next few weeks, unwarranted rise, brings in a load of new pixies, price drops and locks them in and then the daily moan about lack of news. It's like groundhog day. Personally think they will promote increased revenue in the results in Dec, but this is more than priced in. I reckon This will fall back to about 0.4p or maybe slightly lower. Would be nice if it was baselining above 1p in the summer but I can't see it being justified just yet:-) | senor_sensible
30/11/2016 21:01 | Did you know that this sudden cold snap can greatly affect your platelets? It's not linked to the cold temperature itself, but rather the change from warmer to colder temperatures. As a result, our bodies can experience significant extra stress as they work harder to stay warm. Our blood viscosity goes up, platelet hyperactivity is highest, and therefore heart attack numbers are greatest in the winter months. Ensure you and your loved ones stay fighting fit with Fruitflow+ Omega-3 - a completely natural, clinically proven dietary antiplatelet that works to smooth the blood platelets and protect against their hyperactivity and unwanted blood clots. | johndee
30/11/2016 20:57 | Might take a long, long, long time to get EFSA approval, especially if they need wording changed, due to UK trying to leave EU etc.etc etc | lafin
30/11/2016 20:05 | Re "Turning blue" It has been cold hasn't it :) I've already sold roughly half of my meagre holding at a profit. Not a great profit all things considered, but heh, I ain't complaining. It'd be nice if something close to a penny was a new basepoint, but who knows where it'll go next, I certainly don't. From memory ( Gixer can correct me if I'm wrong ) I think it's generally taken a month or three from the end of our trials for any meaningful communication to appear. Can't see this one being any different. I don't remember the market getting overly excited over the results of the first BP work, but we've got a whole new set of "investors" / posters aboard now so I'd expect the current one to be well received by the lse folk ! To be serious though, I'm hoping and expecting a fairly bullish RNS from the company when they do inform the market. The cynic in me has one eye of Ford's first set of options which expire in 18 months or so. Hopefully he'll exercise them and only sell enough of them to pay his tax bill, some time in 2017 would be my guess. I don't know enough about the aspirin stuff and stomach bleeds to comment. Obviously that's never stopped me before though. | bareknee |
