maytrees, there's a HDD thread where takeover possibility has been aired once or twice.

This thread is now a bit of a graveyard, I'm afraid, though there's always the chance (especially for those of us who know something about the residual assets) that the graves will open up and the dead walk again!

Couple of days back there was a report in the Indy, that
HDD Hardide share price had headed N on t/o rumour. Its sp
retraced a little but is blue again today.

Does not PROV still hold a shedload of HDD?
30% is my recollection but does anyone know
more precisely?

I only had tiny funds available but
bt a few PROV at 9.35p

Just for the record, in case something useful happens:

Automated endoscope reprocessor has radical design
With a choice of detergent and disinfectant type and made of anti-microbial coated materials, its design was driven by the strict washing and validation requirements of HTM 2030 and prEN ISO 15883...

...The new unit comes with BioCote anti-microbial coating that inhibits the growth of bacteria, reduces hospital-acquired infections and minimises the risk of cross-contamination.

AJ.

Don't follow tips of any description.

A bit of background on Flintstone [FLT] - as was - wouldn't have come amiss prior to your detailed analysis.

Could be, FSE.

At results, the 'old' portfolio was valued at £10.876m including cash.
On reorganisation, the 71.3m shares were diluted to 161.2m, giving assets down from 15p/sh to 6.7p/sh.

I've not considered the loan notes* here, or the assets acquired, and whether they'll turn a decent profit. Also, the valuation surely understates Keronite and Biocote, let alone Ultra Motor.

So it's one to keep a close eye on, and any indications that the cleaning companies are doing well could, as you say, mean the fall has been overdone.

*£10,500,000 loan notes repayable over a seven year period with certain warrants attaching.

We'll see. Loan notes might be a spoiler!

Its true we got caught with our pants down on this one. I was furious also but I do think the sell off is at least partially overdone.
Hopefully we will get an update with results etc and then figure out whats happening here.

Hmmm....interesting use of English...

'Ultra Motors Company (UMC) is a reputed manufacturer of electrical vehicles '

...so is that 'reputed' as in...

- the maker of vehicles of high repute
- it is reputed that they might make a vehicle one day in the future

(no position having sold out since change of focus)

Yes, the investments (we were all here for) are still in place, but there's a couple of 'health warnings' attached.
First, dilution of the value by the new shares,
Second, possibility they'll be sold off (cheap-ish) to fund cleaning work.

Maybe PROV will get cheap enough for the sums to stack up.

Well in all fairness you did come out with some ripe ones today, nevertheless credit where credit is due I thought the keronite link up with the DM company smelled of many old Reichmarks in the making.
I was impressed by the article also jonwig ultramotor link was interesting.

If anyone is still interested... the keronite web-site appears to have had a re-fit. This news seems new...

which puts Keronite into the very heart of the german auto, areospace,
electronic and general light-industrial belt...

What will they do with their Ultra Motor stake? -flog it off cheap when they need the working capital?

I ask, because this floated by just now:

Ultra Motor & the Wheel

Cold War-era idea for an electric motor is finally getting its road test.

...If the time should ever come when the company wants to issue some more shares...

That time will likely come, depending on whether they are prepared to first cash in their HDD shares to cover required on-going operating capital... or not...

As a full trading company, costs will now escalate (production, marketing, sales etc). It is not at all clear when they will be profitable...

Well I have gone and figured and can't see why the shares authorised but not issued at 14p should be seen as an overhang of shares. If the time should ever come when the company wants to issue some more shares I am sure that the fact that they authorised shares in the past at 14p will not constitute an insurmountable problem to them issuing some more at a different price. The resolution needed for the issue of the new shares could then be used to deal with the issue of the previously authorised shares, should that be necessary.

I entirely agree that no particularly bullish interpretation can be put on the fact that some punters forked out 14p for some new shares.
