09/2/2007 21:24 | I sold out of these a while ago, inherited from FLT. Everything was looking OK for a while but they abruptly seemed to lose direction. I never could my finger on what was wrong but it all became cloudy which put me off. They sold all the other non core related holdings as was their intention. Goodness knows what is going on...... | fse
09/2/2007 20:45 | So as they have sold their hardide holding the question is why. Either they need the cash because they are in trouble or they need the cash to buy out the other shareholders from firestop or biocote IMHO Monday should tell although I don't expect Monday is going to be a good day. Although they have booked a profit on the sale | wowy
24/12/2006 09:32 | Through the deal with Innoconcepts, Proventec can benefit from their expertise in getting products to the market. It's the sole thing Innoconcepts does. I would not worry about the expansion thing too much. Innoconcepts has a very good trackrecord in creating shareholder value. Although the shares of Proventec didn't do much this year, I'm keeping them for the long term. OnnoBass, Holland | onnobass
20/12/2006 03:08 | FWIW I sold out the last of my holding last week. It was a tough choice but the expansion thing before they can walk put me off along with some hard to read financials. They might do OK but medium term I think they have some learning to do.... longer term I suspect reason will prevail. They seem a bit rudderless suddenly after appearing so focused .... ???? who knows | fse
08/12/2006 19:08 | Quote - "we have found a business in the Netherlands". Correct my failing memory but isn't the steam cleaning businees an (ex) Dutch company. Surely if continental expansion is the aim they would be organically expanding the Dutch business they already own. | kallista
08/12/2006 17:31 | Jonwig & KatyLied. Thank you for your excellent notes 165 & 166. It should also be noted I suspect that the share price of Hardie is continuing to drift and more importantly that the Ultra payments are deferred. So if Ultra is not a commercial success I would suggest that the cash could be at risk. If share sale profits are stripped out of the interims they made a substantial loss on the core businesses of £770K. Do you concur? | pugugly
27/11/2006 13:55 | Proventec H1 pretax 123,000 stg vs 1,000 stg; sees further progress in H2 LONDON (AFX) - Specialist steam cleaning company Proventec PLC said its interim pretax profit rose to 123,000 stg from 1,000 stg a year ago and that it anticipates further progress in the second half of the year. Revenue for the six months ended Sept 30 increased to 1.46 mln stg from 1.22 mln in the same period last year. The company also said its cash position remains strong for the period. | fse

27/9/2006 17:07 | A couple of large buys today, 250k and 125k, maybe they got noticed at the ICNA in Brighton. | quemaster
13/9/2006 13:49 | sorry if posted before | andrbea
13/9/2006 09:40 | So, just sit back and wait for the NHS contracts to roll in. If the NHS do not adopt this technology they could be seen to be failing in duty of care to their patients. | kallista
13/9/2006 09:35 | kallista, dunno - but some RNSs appear on ADVFN but not on Invest-e-gate, and vice-versa. | jonwig
13/9/2006 09:08 | Good find jonwig and great news. But why has this not appeared as an RNS? Combined with the Biocote news we have a one-stop shop for the entire NHS cleaning problem. This could be absolutely huge!!!!! | kallista
13/9/2006 08:55 | RNS which is missing from the header list: | jonwig
13/9/2006 08:51 | OK - what's going on? This is at no. 15 on the leader board this a.m. and not a single trade showing!!! | kallista
12/9/2006 20:03 | All very quiet here, which reflects the share price a but of biocote news | wowy
26/7/2006 00:36 | This arrangement with OGC looks very interesting and ought to really expand the market sector for them... I like it ... | fse
20/7/2006 08:56 | Share Mag likes them too: Sales soared from £154,000 to £3.4 million last year, as clients continued to extensively trial the Liverpool-based company's range of revolutionary products. Acquisitions and distribution deals should provide further momentum. Proventec has the necessary financial firepower to fund such transaction, with a cash pile in excess of £5 million and equity holdings conservatively valued at £4.9 million. 'We want to strengthen the OspreyDeepClean brand,' CEO David Chestnutt tells Shares. 'We want to push into new countries, via distribution partners in Europe, joint ventures in North America and using our own people too', he adds. The company waits for feedback from the NHS on trials of OspreyDeepClean's steam cleaning range and will promote the technology aggressively at the 36th Annual Infection Control Conference (ICNA) in September. ■ Shares says: Proventec's technology portfolio has great potential and the shares will look good value at these levels. | jonwig
14/7/2006 12:05 | IC cover the results briefly. I didn't know this: "Broker Dawnay, Day Capital Markets expects pre-tax profits of £1.5m for 2007, giving adjusted eps of 0.3p." IC then summarise: "Adjust for the investment portfolio and D,DCM says the shares trade on just 11 times 2008's expected earnings. Good value." Is it? | jonwig |
