should rocket from these depressed levels IMO

signed financials dd. 30.6.10 (out today on the website)



on p6 of 54 they say

nav per share at 31.12.09 = usd 0.636/share

and the latest data they have (as at 23.4.10) the nav/share was 0.873/share, a healthy 37% up on the year-end figure.

Far from being overpriced as Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin recently complained, the Russian equity market could yet be undervalued. The Russian market is still trading at less than nine times 2009 earnings, says Liam Halligan, chief economist at Prosperity Capital Management. Compare that to Brazil which is trading at 18 times earnings and China and India which are each trading at 16, he said.

In Russia, the ruble-denominated benchmark MICEX has added 35 percent since Aug. 1, to reach 1,453 points on Wednesday -- but is still a long way from the all-time high of 1,969.9 points. Russia was the world's second-best performing market, next to Brazil, in 2009, according to Moscow-based Renaissance Capital.

Apart from strong oil prices, Russian stocks have been helped by macroeconomic figures that show the country of 142 million people is weathering the downturn slightly better than thought and its budget deficit is expected to be far less than originally expected. Risks remain if oil prices fall, however.

I'm not a holder as yet but I do love the chart. Not too much history but still very good looking trend under way.
As with you, I have no other information yet but I am now looking. I'll get back to you later.
