Interesting aquisition. Not sure how it fits in with the PRO business model though - BWTFDIK? I hope and believe PRO will be showing some profit within the next twelve months, it may show up on investors radars then.

Ahhhhhh Provalis.....or Cortecs. I was looking through my old paperwork. I was a very small first time investor and put some money in on the nod and wink of a mate!!!
my purchases were:
29/08/96 320 shares @ 310p
30/06/98 980 shares @ 102p
05/11/99 226 shares @ 015p

Never bought any shares in any company since and therfore never lost any money!
Still it was a good lesson learnt, I've never had any money back either.

Yes, £14.8m, down from £15.4m last year is good stuff for the affiliate side of things. Less good, though, is that they say margins are down. A quick glance at the segmental analysis indicates the affiliate business is loss-making (I've not looked at the figures in any detail though)

Surprised to see another 9am AGM, after last year. You would think this would have been a good time to get back in tune with investors needs. I guess they will be expecting this years AGM to be a bit quieter than last years, with many holders having sold-out.

Maybe Mike Danson will turn up for this one?

Usual lily livered investors sell a few hundred shares when it ticked down a penny

Hold on in there - Danson will just clear up otherwise. Heavy non execs, some from the past glory he had.

Hold the shares

I dont think we will get a bean as if there is anything left it will get gobbled up by the accountants first. As far as getting any response from the directors dont hold your breath. It took their investors relations dept 6 days to reply to me concerning an update on the in2it fix and I just got referred back to the previous press releases!!
Told them I wanted an update not history and still await a meaningful reply.

Sorry,dwilco67 and others to post again. All I am pointing out in earlier posts is that in my view ,the present share price of provalis represents option money on its potentially HUGE revenues from its vaccines. At its slightly higher level of 1.35pence investors are probably looking at money back if nothing exciting happens or a doubling of the present price just as soon as the market senses that the partnered vaccine development might be about to be thesubject of positive comment. For those of you who continue to disagree ,or even deride my approach to the valuation of this company,I would stress that this is not idle ramping, but the result of detailed investigation into the latest progress made by Provalis partners ,CHIRON,AVENTIS PASTEUR and GLAXO SMITH KLINE in connection with their relevent clinical trials.Just by way of verification ,IT IS OF GREAT INTEREST that in the march 4th issue of THE LANCET an article appeared covering the successful trial by G.S.K. of a"novel protein based vaccine to protect against Otitis Media in infants .(Exactly as described in the Provalis 2004 report.)Similar pogress has been made by CHIRON who extended their development license until June 2006.NEWS will therefore be forthcoming from CHIRON within 4 months and from A.P.at the end of 2006.Whatever YOUR view it srikes me as BIZARRE that the directors chose to devote only one sentence to this exciting prospect, particularly when their comments were directed towards other divisions either defective or disposed of. Once again therefore my advice would be ,"DO NOT GIVE THESE SHARES AWAY and CONSIDER BUYING A FEW MORE AT CIRCA 2.25PENCE WHEN POSSIBLE.

Only one small 35K sell today, 600K in buys. So far, anyway. small investor speculation, no doubt. The current market size is 250K

What gets me is how easily the price is moving on such small volume. If somebody put in a large-ish order right now (buy OR sell) the price would really move.

Anyone got a spare $25K to buy a million shares in one trade? The price would rocket!

Still no reply from PRO investor relations regarding my request of the user manual for In2it. Given the product is out in the field, completely ignoring a simple enquiry is a strange stance, especially for an investor relations dept.

My enquiry dated the 7th Nov -

Thank you for your prompt reply to my recent enquiries.

I would respectfully like to request the full user manual/details for In2it, as there are aspects of the operation that still remain unclear, that aside I am generally interested in making further comparisons to other analysers, including Provalis' GDX.

Once again thank you in advance for your help and assistance.(end)

Is that asking for or expecting too much?

Pro a takeover target - I consider it unlikely whilst there remains a struggling pharma business,a big question mark over in2it's potential, continuing cash burn and an increasing bank debt apparently needing to be replaced/repaid in a few months time.

Read the Going Concern statement in the results announcement - it does not exactly fill one with confidence.

It is exactly the same question for both investors and potential acquirors of the company, namely 'who would buy at this stage'

In my view and as previously stated, better to wait until the risk/reward ratio is not so heavily weighted towards risk even though that would result in having to pay a higher price,as IMO the potential for it to end in tears is a very real possibility.

I am concerned by the apparently increasingly desperate attempts to talk up the price at this stage as it would further adversely weight the risk/reward ratio for new investors. However it would no doubt serve the purpose of those desperate to exit at a higher price.
