I agree with you. One other thing to bear in mind, they cant mark to market the portfolio instead follow private equity guidlines which now most likely is well below the true NAV thanks to the 2008 crash, given its all high tec stuff.

In otherwords not only is the shareprice currently a fair old discount, the stated NAV itself is probably at a fair old discount to the real NAV. If you see what I mean.

In the the days of the tech bubble it would have all been the other way round, the shareprice was a premium to the nav and the nav was also stated at a vast premium to true nav.

Cool, I'm getting the impression that very soon technology stock is the place to be. Products which save money provide mangement information or geeky information seem to be attracting investment.

KFX for example

It is not inprobable IMHO that PEQ will close the NAV share price discount gap much sooner than some investors might think.

no im bunkered in thanks, i will take the tenders as they crop up as and when over the term, the downside seems zero from here, the upside should provide a handsome income.

"loud public awareness campaign" ....lol

Didnt dump PEQ only top sliced, bought some a while ago added quite a few more got nervous about % of my portfolio so sold the first batch only. Still got more than I would like but the cash return will reduce the risk (amount tied up) to a level I can live with longer term.

BTW if you are refering to EU:NRP I would like to know what you mean and have started a thread if you have time to post a reply.

hear hear. and the manner in which investments are returned (such as this tender). PEQ is a very rare beast indeed.

Sadly my 5K was rejected, will try again in the morning but suspect Praipus rather loud public awareness campaign this evening will put the knockers on that in the morning.

(not that i am complaining thanks to praipus in the first instance) although somewhat beamused to why you dumped this yet favour the property company discussed as that I cannot fully fathom. This due to the division of the portfolio book and its debt structure.

It should trade at a premium IMHO.

Where else can you get access to 500 pre NASDAQ IPO tech stocks at a 25+% discount to NAV?

Where else can you buy something at a 25% discount and get 15%++ of the full asset value back as a golden hello?

It's rude not to .....

Theoretically how much should the share price move up to, given the huge discount to NAV but only 25% in the tender ?

Personally am expecting it to move nearer the £2 mark, but just how do you value the appropriate discount for the remaining 75% fund ?

I should have held on to the earlier purchases too...learning slowly.

Thanks Mangal for noticing the mention of a Tender Offer in the annual report and posting it here for all to enjoy. Regret to say my cursory glance through had missed it! Well done and thanks. Have started a new Tracking the Arbitrageurs thread by the way:

Smiles all around? holders will get back ~238p for at least 25% of their holdings.
not a bad result, I think, for those who bought [edit: a couple of months back]

Perhaps it was for an MM to satisfy recent retail demand it's only 100,000 shares. I've top sliced a few too starting to think I'm a bit too trigger happy.
