05/7/2007 09:06 | Jonwig - Go have a look at the breakdown in profits from the first half last year to the second half. It was pretty much breakeven in H1 and entire profits in H2. If you annualise the second half you see why it looks cheap for. They then raised 1m at 20p in December which helps the NAV. The business model looks attractive and the website is impressive. They are signing up intermediaries at a good pace as well. The online model means it is highly geared and as transaction volume improves a lot of the revenue falls straight to the bottom line. | nickcduk
05/7/2007 08:54 | Chance ... "the price has only fallen from 25 pence because the takeover talks were called off." Could be argued that the share price above 20p for 2006-7 was because they were 'in play'. A T/O of £10.2m against a MCap of £3.6m looks attractive, and they are making a profit (eps 1.0p, P/E 12×). Also it's intriguing that they say, "The increased sales of Buildings and Contents insurance, which also delivers the highest Gross Profit per product sale; coupled with an increased percentage number of mortgages sold being for people with credit problems has led to the increased Gross Profit for 2006." Does this mean that they are making money mainly from people who are a bad credit risk? Seems strange, that, as mortgage default will hit the ultimate provider, who will surely have a clause to claw back commission from PBH? Also, given the state of the housing market, can they be expected to grow T/O quickly again? I don't feel confident about investing here in the face of possible slowdown in their market. But I'm open to being convinced otherwise! | jonwig
05/7/2007 08:40 | MMs not exactly giving them away at this price with the online buying price at 12.95 pence despite the spread! | chancer6
05/7/2007 08:29 | Interims out at the end of July and the price seems to have bottomed out now at current levels. Very cheap and the price has only fallen from 25 pence because the takeover talks were called off. Could rise back to the 20 pence levels! | chancer6
05/7/2007 08:26 | We want to believe honest we do....good luck sir...;-) | 1ocnik
05/7/2007 08:24 | Pushed the offer up....11.00-13.00 pence, Level 2 is positive at 4 v 2. | chancer6
05/7/2007 08:24 | Just bought 10,000 shares at 11.95 pence. Too cheap at current levels! | chancer6
04/7/2007 12:50 | Added another 25k this morning at 11.8p. I think the overhang is nearly gone. Online limits down to 10k on offer at 11.88p. It won't take much more for it to clear and hopefully a decent rally will ensue. Results are not too far away either which should help it along. | nickcduk
22/6/2007 07:34 | Yes thank hook...lol.....;-)) | 1ocnik
22/6/2007 07:33 | did you hang on to PIV?? | latestarter
22/6/2007 07:30 | Results aren't too far away. If the share price stays around current level come results day then I would imagine it will be possible to pick a few up at the open at not a lot higher than where we are now. Thats the safest way of playing PBH. | nickcduk
22/6/2007 07:20 | yes thanks, status quo again, well for now anyway........... i hold over 300k still so i have to break rule 1 and average in the wrong direction, just looking for the reason to do it, or not | latestarter
22/6/2007 07:06 | LL...Morning fella, the feed back i get from questions i ask about PBH is "whatever" looks like lee is losing the "dressing room"....Happy trading fella...;-) PS...Hope things have settled down for you away from the markets too... | 1ocnik
22/6/2007 07:00 | company not aware of a seller, but clearly there is one, hope the buyer strike continues and they get a bit cheaper, again... nuts and bolts again, market cap now down to 3.3m with 1m + in cash last year end saw 1m increase in the bottom line to eps of 1p, so if there is no increase in revenue its on a forward p/e of 2 lets be harsh and say 3, maybe i have missed something | latestarter
21/6/2007 20:24 | mjcrockett - Why would you think market conditions are tough for PBH at the moment? The number of representatives are growing and if you look at the web traffic going to their website you can see it is rising sharply. We may get a statement about recent falls if the nomad feels there is a need to issue one. | nickcduk |
