05/1/2005 16:33 | TS I, at this moment in time, disagree that we will be heading south at the close on the markets. I am just waiting to see an ending diagonal on the nas with a three spike bottom on the 10 min with rising rsi on both 15 and 30 mins charts before considering an attempt at a long via options as they are controlled risk. Keep an eye out on the technical shapes of ending patterns on the nas first and then the spx with hopefully a three spike bottom. I also have some other systems in place that i will look for a confirmation that a long is still possible when i enter. Best KVU | kvu
05/1/2005 16:14 | nyse a-d and nas a-d is very negative but they're trying their best to kick start a rally by ramping the dow. dow a-d=11 easier to manip 30 stocks than a couple of thousand eh? they wont be able to hold it up forever, so my guess is we'll sell off before the close. | torturedsoul
05/1/2005 16:09 | The high TRIN of late yesterday should give a bit of a lift | energyi

04/1/2005 20:31 | looks like the bull could live to fight another day though. the nyse didnt break any pnf supports on that drop. first support break is trading down through 7080, the bottom today (so far) was 7084.15 so if that holds, odds must be on for some sort of bounce tomorrow. | torturedsoul

04/1/2005 18:14 | Instead of selling my remaining PUTs, I have taken a small long at 10,720 | energyi
04/1/2005 18:00 | know what you mean K, went full short and caught 40, hedged it, then cancelled the longs and rode it down for another 20, now half hedged, if you get my drift, ie smaller short still running | collection agency
04/1/2005 17:38 | Not sure if many people feel the same, but I found emotions at a high when the fall began and trying to remain short more than 65% of it has proved difficult. I found myself trying to get out early in order to avoid a serious bounce and yet too slow to trade in order to get the best price. Havent been like that in many months and I guess its something we all deall with from time to time. Glad I am not trying to long any bounces. | kvu
04/1/2005 16:13 | well bear suit mode on for me, just the ndx needs to break 1585 for a full house of bearish broken supports. shouldnt be too long as sox is melting. weakness in the usa indices should persist while dollar strength continues to smash gold and the major fx crosses. | torturedsoul
04/1/2005 16:10 | Well, not really sure what to make of this fall today except it feels more like the ending of wave 1 down from yesterday. The reason I say this is because we went and failed at 1209 today on the ES futures which was minor resistance. This indicated that a more substantial bottom for the next 4 to 8 hrs might be in place now and that the larger wave 2 correction backup might be about to begin here. Also the fall from 1207, although impulsive just doesnt feel of look like it has the strength to turn into a wave 3 type fall. Should we break 1198 then I would say I am wrong, but for the time being I remain flat of positions. If anything, I would favour a long on the ES05H futs here at 1201.25 for a rally, but I dont long what I think would be a corrective move. Another worrying situation is that I saw the possibility of a rally to new highs possible on the spx yesterday and even more so on the dow so I remain cautious for the time being on that basis too. | kvu
04/1/2005 12:13 | hi K, did you ring (9065 missed call?) Banks (ub81) on the viagra today, sector rotation or M&A blah? | collection agency
04/1/2005 12:10 | For anyone trading UK equities, I would keep a close eye on BARC. I mentioned this a few weeks back and then again last week saying it would head towards 595-605 level. I think there maybe a good play for puts over the coming days if the situation evolves correctly. It seems higher highs are being made on falling volume so that could be great. | kvu
