14/9/2017 13:57 | Cheers fizzypop, I like the sound of "“We have been contacted by a number of local authorities and building owners/managers in the last few months supporting them in accessing and testing fire safety equipment and assessing their facilities’ integrity in the event of a fire." In addition, the last 3 contract news releases posted by fizzypop above have all been for new contracts providing lovely recurring maintenance and testing income for the foreseeable future. 14/9/2017 12:39 | " ... fast reaction team ready to mobilise within our new sprinkler business should the need arise.” hxxp://www.ptsg.co.u A recent BBC investigation has found that just two per cent of residential tower blocks have full sprinkler systems fitted. Responding to the announcement from London’s fire commissioner, who is calling for sprinkler systems to be installed in all high-rise council flats, Premier Technical Services Group PLC’s (PTSG’s) newly acquired fire solutions business is standing by to offer consultancy and delivery support to local authorities across London and in other parts of the UK. The company, which now has a dedicated sprinkler business, specialises in fire solutions and is already working extensively with organisations across the public, private and voluntary sectors. Paul Teasdale, PTSG’s CEO, said: “We have been contacted by a number of local authorities and building owners/managers in the last few months supporting them in accessing and testing fire safety equipment and assessing their facilities’ integrity in the event of a fire. This is very important job and we have been able to help many of those organisations to make significant safety improvements. Our ultimate aim as a business is to help our customers to protect people and preserve properties and places through a range of niche specialist services – delivered by our team of 650 professionals who work extensively across the UK and overseas. Following this morning’s announcement, we have a fast reaction team ready to mobilise within our new sprinkler business should the need arise.” | fizzypop

13/9/2017 09:59 | rivaldo: yes you are right! I must admit I also love the structure of every deal they do - always seeming able to pay a low-ish multiple of profits & NAV for everything they buy, and then managing to structure it so that a good portion of the consideration is payable over a period of time depending on achieving demanding targets. Couple that with a consistent record of double-digit organic growth in every one of the last 10 years. In the last two months we also have proper, meaningful insider buying (or the equivalent of insider buying), and the business is a sweet spot in an environment changing fundamentally post Grenfell. Whats not to like! | simso

13/9/2017 09:56 | Rivaldo,Really pleased we had our correspondence back in August re shares, bought in first time at £1.37, a small top up this am at £1.87, I'm a happy bunny and GAW ,PHTM and IQE have had good runs, long may it continue. Back to topic, I'm convinced that we will have a profit upgrade with the next set of results, too many new contract wins for that to not filter through. Also unbelievably bullish to see the deferred consideration on the recent RNS being requested in shares. It bodes very well full the rest of us shareholders. | pnetol

13/9/2017 09:46 | Simso, read my post 472 above - a retrofit cost of £10m in just 25 high-rise blocks - and then extrapolate to the installation of sprinkler systems across the country. I think then you'll get your answer :o)) | rivaldo
13/9/2017 09:36 | eagle eye...your posting at 10.17am is out of date already! On days when one's largest share is behaving like this, it is impossible to keep your thumb off the F9 Refresh button! Wonder whats going on to cause this rise | simso
13/9/2017 09:17 | Up and away today at 203p-205p + 23p. Not a lot of stock around, though 200p might attract a few sellers after a strong run. | eagle eye
13/9/2017 07:39 | Thanks for the link Rivaldo, and after yesterdays acquisition of a sprinkler company, unbelievable timing or good foresight ? Just goes from strength to strength | threeputt
13/9/2017 07:31 | Ah, you lot beat me to it :o)) The timing of yesterday's acquisition is perfect - and shows (once again) great foresight by PTSG's management: Long article, but just one extract showing what this could be worth: "Grenfell fire chief calls for sprinklers in tower blocks By George Greenwood & Katie Langton BBC News 2 hours ago" "Croydon Council, in south London, has taken the decision to retrofit sprinklers in its 25 high-rise blocks at a cost of £10m. Councillor Alison Butler, Croydon's deputy leader and cabinet member for homes, regeneration and planning, said: "Grenfell changed everything. It was horrifying." | rivaldo

13/9/2017 07:05 | On radio 4 this morning only 2% of council owned tower blocks in the U.K. have sprinkler systems. RM | rampmeister
12/9/2017 13:06 | Yesterday's announcement that the vendors of UK Dry Risers Ltd had specifically requested to take their deferred consideration in shares as opposed to cash is a bullish sign imho. The Vendor (a Mr Mike Charlton) came with the business, and would have received c £1.2m cash a year ago for his buinsess. I suspect this £0.9m he has asked to take as shares rather than cash will be a high proportion of his net worth...therefore is a pretty big statement of faith from someone inside the business who can see the lie of the land. We saw something similar earlier in July, when a divisional director Colin Clinkard bought over £300k worth...and we mused on here that it was a likely to be a high proportion of his net worth, and therefore a potentially bullish signal. So it proved, as he paid 114p less than 2 months ago, and is now up over 50%. | simso |
