Steve, re a chart, there's a few etfs where you can invest in poo, CRUD is one priced in US dollars not so many in Sterling but PCRD maybe. Not sure if will be able to pick up the data in advfn but if so would suggest starting Jan 2018.

I used to do my own calculations periodically and post some of them on here mainly to shut some of the gimps up who continually spout nonsense, just filter them now.

Brent is cooking nicely this morning. Up above $66.6. That’s a big rise on last week’s close.

NY Boy , good morning , remember as I mentioned back in Nov that oil starts it's positive seasonality in Feb . Targeting a minimum of 100p on this leg . As per the chart I posted things are now confirming a bullish outlook . Not just for PMO but it's peers too . That RSI bullish divergence in the 50s was spot on a bullish entry and signal ! Those who bought then did rather well

gordo - that's a useful site, and easy to add PMO as a "compare" & change the timescales as desired, but I can't see how to make a chart that I can embed in the header.... or even as a live link that keeps PMO included.

..but thanks for trying.

I've managed to add the basic link to the header.. just under the "oil futures links"

Oil is powering ahead on fundamentals, not long before these are over 100p, just hold, trend is up for a while now.

Lodgeview, you on the wrong side of the trade again ?

Best be acquiring those lovely cheap (PFC) shares on the cheap too

Select interactive chart for Brent futures, then the compare function and select PMO . Chart shows relative performances of brent to selected share

Also it would make more sense to convert poo to gbp otherwise comparing apples and pears I'm afraid.

adg, if you (or a-n-other) can create such a chart I'll try to add it to the header... but I've always struggled to create something and make it work myself.

If oil keeps going anyone holding a short position here would need to worry about a bid coming in for PMO. A 25% premium from here still makes PMO a bargain.

A question / request please
Any chance of / is it possible to do a chart that has Brent crude price and PMO share price on same?

They may be able to stop the share price going up but they cant change or manipulate the profits pmo make. They will get hit sooner or later as debt reduces and the share price remains pence there will ultimately be a bid that is 100% certain .

What has got to happen here for the pmo share price to recover to a more realistic valuation ? Oil price recovery hasnt worked so whats going to snap the elastic bid story in the sunday telegraph ?
