The effects of Ex Hurricane Ophelia in the North Sea should be much less than further to the west in the Irish Sea. By the end of Tuesday the sea states will be reducing in the North Sea and there should be several days of relatively benign conditions for Catcher to venture out to it's position in the North Sea. Other Atlantic storms are forecast but not affecting the North Sea area we are interested in.

I think this will be an issue in 30 years. The shift will be very slow despite what people think and at the same time demand for transportation rising.

70% oil used for transportation but how much of that can be replaced by electric vehicles? Ships? aircraft? Current battery technology and availability of Li wont be able to meet their timescale for cars either. $10 oil implies a UK petrol price dominated by the tax aspect only. In the States they'll be virtually giving petrol away - not much motivation to drive electric then.

Classic fake news article.Oil will trade at the relevant market conditions at the time.It will not be possible to product oil at $10.Therefore companies will go out of business,the market will contract,less oil will be produced and the price will be squeeze.Less oil,fewer companies but never $10.
