There are big funds with a vested interest in bullying this down so a short 'attack' isn't unexpected.

They will exploit any POO weakness to the full but their main and most effective tool is complete run of the SETS system. The issue which has always been my gripe.

I have to take issue with your statement ... Ask any GKP ex holder about the morality of Iraq's politicians be they Kurds or Arabs. Or perhaps the Venezuelan Govt that liberated their oil industry from alien hands. Or Timan holders who lost everything as result of Russian intrigue. The list is endless. There are very few scruples in the oil industry…

In every single one of the examples you cite it was not the oil company that demonstrated a lack of scruples. It was the politicians and civil servants and governments of the various regimes that ripped off the oil companies who lost their assets through state sponsored larceny. As someone who spent most of his life in the oil industry and who has many friends and ex-colleagues in the industry, I think it's not the E&P companies who have behaved dishonesttly and unethically in the cases you mention. Nor is it their shareholders. It's the bandits in the various governments and state institutions who have mugged the poor naive bloody oil men.

BW Catcher is making excellent progress. Forecast weather and sea state conditions present no problems for the remainder of the journey well into next week. There is no sign of any autumnal storms and consequent high sea states.

Brent holding thus far. Even a period of consolidation would be very bullish looking 3-12 months out.

Sad story but take a look at the RNS from HAWK today. Looks like another US E and P going bust.... These low oil prices just cannot last.

Nice to get a Warrant update.. 12.4% of the total warrants (incl. Synthetics and Convertibles) have now been exercised cashlessly, with just 0.27% for new shares. Cashless conversion has been responsible for 0.59% of the total dilution, with actual conversion to shares adding just 0.05% (based on shareholding prior to any conversions).

My broker still says he's unable to convert my warrants for me. As the share price increases, the more dilution is required to exercise them cashlessly, so the company (PMO) should perhaps be encouraging brokers to convert them. Since I want to convert mine into shares it makes no difference to the dilution, and I suppose there's no rush for me to do so...!!

Cat is just about to pass due West of Porto.
