14/6/2016 11:17 | No word from Simon Templar QC today then. I cashed in today at £1.64 to bank circa 50% in 9 months, very content with that. | eastbourne1982
14/6/2016 08:28 | What do we think? Good offer? Or it will flush out another one? | zcaprd7
14/6/2016 08:23 | Aha. Volume question answered from a month ago. Sneaky... | zcaprd7
14/6/2016 07:22 | Well done here. | rcturner2

31/5/2016 12:11 | And this would be the reason for the volume. I'm surprised the price hasn't moved higher | cc2014
12/5/2016 19:40 | Lot of volume last few days? | zcaprd7
19/4/2016 18:40 | That's the highest close this year. In fact the highest close for 7 months. Premier F. goes xd for that nice dividend in May as well. | duncan doughnut
18/4/2016 16:28 | Of course the co did say at the interims: "The Group will target a sustainable and progressive dividend with cover of 1.5x to 2.0x" So the 11.1p eps forecast and the 6.1p divi forecast look very achievable and if there is recovery there's scope for a fair bit more perhaps. 6.1p would be more than 1.5 times covered, nearly 2 times covered in fact. | duncan doughnut
18/4/2016 11:12 | Chart is still bullish . Approaching previous 7 March 2016 high point , if we break through 125p resistance and close above 125p on big volume then we have a convincing break out . | bench2
16/4/2016 03:40 | edmundshaw,You know your stuff.Yes risk and reward.But that is true of any share.Oh forgot HSBC 7.7% yield. | garycook
14/4/2016 17:24 | BEZ is one I know well. That historic yield is based on a last year's dividend of 28.3p at a share price of 335p. That includes a special dividend of 18.4p and a "normal" dividend of 9.9p. Around 3% yield plus whatever special they give - and the last three years have been good due to the state of the insurance market, there is no guarantee of perennial repetition. BP's dividend yield is in spite of a massive full year loss. If the oil price remains anything like this low that dividend is doomed within 3 years maximum. Laura Ashley is controlled from Malaysia via MUI. That may be fine, but for me the risk based on not knowing the major owner's personal goals there is toouncomfortable. Fenner's share price has fallen by 2/3rds in the last two years. The dividend is maintained though cover is quite low. Nevertheless, on an oil price recovery, and chinese recovery that looks an interesting play, but the yield is high for a reason: risk. I could go on. 5% is a good yield where risk is low. Whether that is the case here is of course another question... yer pays yer money.... | edmundshaw
14/4/2016 01:20 | You call 5% a great yield.Wake up and smell the Coffee. ALY 8%,BEZ 8%,BP 7%,CLIG 8%,CNKS 8%,FENR 8%,GLIF 8%,HSD 8%,LRE 8%,RUSP 8%,RDSB 7%.Thats what you call yield. | garycook
12/4/2016 12:32 | Cup and handle on the chart. Great yield. | duncan doughnut
05/4/2016 15:53 | No read across from ecm here? I've stuck all my spare cash in pvcs for what it's worth... | zcaprd7
