28/1/2008 07:52 | Forgot I'm still registered for PDT news alerts - what a shame for all involved in SiConnect, a British innovative company down the pan. How many others of the seedling investments might be in the same state if PDT don't have the resorces to fund further? Any capital raising will be tricky in this environment and even the sell on or merger of PDT with a bigger entity. If it's been hard so far I think they aint seen nothing yet. | timtom2
27/1/2008 12:19 | This Trust is now meaningless. Goodbye & Good Luck. Tax loss selling due for CGT but no buyback to follow. Let's see what happens. | pinkfish
27/1/2008 10:54 | lol !!!! No one here is interested in your comments as they are meaningless. | hvs
27/1/2008 10:35 | I reckon that last rns should have been split in two. They shoved out one and it has gone under the radar of many. Reckon they think the share price would tank further if the 'options' open to the trust were highlighted on a solo rns. Prelude to a 10 bagger - tempting fate. | pinkfish
23/1/2008 16:18 | What lines ? Who says they have NO OPTIONS ? Fish with NO BRAIN. | hvs
22/1/2008 14:08 | They wouldn't be selling otherwise. Read between the lines. NAV dropping, further funding needed they can't guarantee, looking to try and get out as close to NAV as possible but they only specify above current share price Sounds distressed to me. Sounds like a basket case. | pinkfish
21/1/2008 17:40 | Who says they are "distressed" ? | hvs
21/1/2008 09:49 | Anyone heard rumours? PDT as "nearly" distressed seller is not at all good. Tax loss selling for April may cause a downdraught also. | pinkfish
18/1/2008 20:39 | Thank you for telling us. Sad really when someone waits to sell until the price DROPS. Lets hope your next investmet works out BETTER. | hvs
18/1/2008 13:44 | I've been in this share since 2000, having subsequently bought some of my holding in the 50's. I finally sold out last night at at worst a small real loss but a much larger opportunity loss. NAV going down, markets looking very gloomy. What a shambles of an investment. Oh well, we live and (hopefully) learn! Good luck to all of you who still keep the faith. Bchn | bitochon
17/1/2008 11:47 | They putting you out to Grass ? | hvs
17/1/2008 09:47 | PDT has been trading on the future from the start. Their future of 5 years ago is now. The NAV is back at Dec 2003 levels. What nore do you need to know. Anyway, moving on to pastures new. Good Luck all. | timtom2
17/1/2008 09:25 | You seemed to have missed something TimTom2, The future ? | hvs
17/1/2008 09:22 | ps - I wouldn't put much faith in the PDT management. They have failed so far - perhaps they might come good at the end but this is an unforgiving market right now and will be so for quite a while longer imho. The portfolio will need further funding - there is risk and cash is necoming king again. If a buyer offers the management some cushy jobs at the acquirer do you expect the management to give two hoots about getting an extra few pence? Wake-up. The biggest beneficiary from this Trust looks like having been the management. Will that change now? When was the last time one of the management bought shares in this Trust from their own pocket? Tells you something. This is a major management failure - at least they recognise they need to act rather than see it disappear completely. | timtom2
17/1/2008 09:18 | hvs please note the careful wording in the RNS - "seeking". No gurantee to find. The word excess is also not bounded - 1p more, 20p more ?? I hope you get a lot more than the current share price "........the Board is seeking to provide shareholders with a return in excess of the current market price of the Trust's shares. The Board is not able to give more details at this stage but a further announcement will be made as soon as possible. It is expected that an EGM will then be convened, with a view to putting proposals to all shareholders for their consideration and approval." | timtom2
17/1/2008 08:29 | Its alive and we shall see EXIT value is EXCESS OF CURRENT SHARE PRICE. Keep circling though, excercise is good. | hvs
16/1/2008 21:32 | Picking over the bones of a dead animals carcass. Sounds about right unfortunately. | timtom2
16/1/2008 21:22 | lol !!!!! You can talk it down as much as you like . VULTURES come to mind. | hvs
16/1/2008 20:28 | rl - you were correct. This side of April there is at least the chance to you losses against CGT without having to wait another year. | timtom2
16/1/2008 18:17 | would that revaluation be me being proved right very quickly....? "The reduction in the value of the unquoted portfolio results principally from provisions taken against portfolio companies, DeNovo, m-spatial and Si-Connect." Kiadis IPO postponed indefinitely. Shame the board didn't see fit to pursue a run-off strategy 3 years ago when they were sitting on 25 million cash. If we were in the States we'd be suing them for dereliction of duty to shareholders. Nobody will buy this as a whole, so they'll have to sell the remaining good investments one-by-one, all the while transaction costs and huge salaries eating away at what's left. IMHO you should really think about selling now while you can. | russianlinesman
16/1/2008 14:27 | No need to. I am very CONFIDENT about EXIT value. | hvs
16/1/2008 14:27 | Good - you still have a sense of humour. You need it with this management. Heard any rumours - keep your ears open - all sorts of chatter. | timtom2 |
