Seeing as PHE were awarded a grant in a competition run by the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership recently. I would have thought that the planning permission would be a forgone conclusion.

Surely they've had plenty of time to "consider" these things. The application was submitted in September. They should be given a deadline to put up or shut up.

From a Planning site contact: The delay does not seem to be overcoming any environmental issue more that responses from some councillor/s are still awaited. Councillors have to consider to the concerns of local residents.

Could be, or it could simply be that the planning committee have a backlog to get through.

Is it still environmental matters that need to be satisfied?

I do hope you are right, whatsthepoint, because we really need to get this matter put to bed so that the company can get on with its business.

Planning is just a formality It will go sailing through. It's when not if. We will get circular before planning as planning is a given already.

Actually, no I wasn't at the AGM. The difficulty they might have with an RNS right now is that there's not a lot that they can say until W2T-Peel get the planning permission through. I can't see that there would be any point in issuing the shareholders' circular with details of the proposed take-over until the planning application has been approved. IMHO of course.

vatnabrekk I believe that you, like myself may have been at the AGM. The company should issue an RNS rather than let the share price damagingly drift IMHO. I have more involvement with CWR, ITM and AFC, but would still like to stay with this one.

Hopefully so, superbarnet. I've got a decent amount here which I can afford to leave invested for as long as it takes to mature, but also if it goes up in smoke I can handle the loss. It ranges from life changing to minor annoyance in terms of possible outcomes.

Superbarnet, you said in post 11920 we should hear from the planners tomorrow. I thought the planning meeting was in early Feb. Could you clarify please.

Ant and Dec's Santander ads have humour. The filter sisters emit noxious fumes. Hopefully some may find that entertaining, - humorous even.

Allinforabigprofit. Nothing unlucky at all! This is exactly what I have been saying, in that the chamber or as I put it, the core, has to be replaced, which in a commercial operation could be un-commercial. As I said there are other factors that also need resolving, like temperature creep and the stability of the material that the core is made of. There are many materials available that will reach the temperatures required in a static position, but not when the core has to move. The molecule structure of materials change, when they are subject to extreme heat, especially when they are heated and cooled. The aim is to make sure that the process runs 24/7 non-stop, but no one knows what chemical reaction takes place in the core from the waste feed at the temperature needed for gasification, and what that chemical reaction does to the core. Tyre crumb and plastic waste are ideal waste to use as they have a high calorific value. But PHE are a long way off a commercial operation if it is at all possible, with the problems yet to be resolved.

If you want to see fair value for this even after commercialisation look at Eqtec languishing at £6.2m. Lemmings an dmushrooms only.
