Posted at 16/8/2016 12:22 by boonkoh The market is still very challenging, with forward order book prices in packaging for H2 still showing more margin pressure. But the self help measures, operationally and also with lower financing interest, should mitigate and keep POWR with a good net profit and cash flow for this year. One to buy if you believe there will be a turnaround in pricing next year. In the meantime, a sound balance sheet, cash flow, and divs. |
Posted at 12/8/2016 14:53 by commiesy POWR has had a disappointing run recently that I don't understand. Their fundamentals haven't changed much - it's a sold business that is well run and has been growing. Nothing in the fundamentals has changed by the market has fallen out of love with this share. I hope that the next set of results are a catalyst for renewed interest, if not it could well continue to stagnate...Any thoughts? |
Posted at 28/6/2016 20:19 by sharw What a difference a broker makes! I also hold POWR with another broker and although a couple of days later they have had the decency to send me an explanatory note which says inter alia "Please note the proceeds of the Return of Capital has been taxed at 30 percent withholding tax". |
Posted at 25/6/2016 06:46 by jon123 i still think its classed as a dividend |
Posted at 24/6/2016 21:57 by sharw It was later changed here: |
Posted at 24/6/2016 20:19 by jon123 if u look at the annual results it states it will pay a dividend of 3 cents per share ur broker may call it a return of capital mine called it a cash distribution but the company said dividend n that makes it liable for the withholding tax imhobut wtfdik lol |
Posted at 24/6/2016 17:57 by sharw But this wasn't a dividend - it was a return of capital - does that get a withholding tax as well? |
Posted at 24/6/2016 12:23 by sharw Anyone received their dividend (technically return of capital)? It is 3 euro cents which I thought was worth about 2.3p prior to yesterday but my broker has credited 1.57p per share. |
Posted at 26/5/2016 14:04 by carltaylor29 Excuse my ignorance Petewy but how are you calculating the Divi? I make it 3 cents (Euros) x 0.76 (conversion to pounds) = 2.28p. 2.28p/74p = 3% |
Posted at 28/4/2016 16:31 by 78paul hi im a POWR shareholder.the acquisition that this company made last year has transformed them into a cash cow. I dont have the figures to hand but Free Cash Flow in the last set of accounts was very very high, enough to pay off all debt in a couple of years so they could be completely debt-free with a great balance sheet, then after that i predict a hike in dividends, special dividends and/or share buy-backs. i also predict the next set of accounts to show a greatly strengthened balance sheet which is what the markets like to see. the share price currently could trickle down further but this only presents a buying opportunity. all in my humble opinion of course ! |
