30/1/2014 08:11 | It's because it is still a Reg S (US) stock which means it can't be settled electronically. I thought that the Reg S restriction could be removed after a certain period, but the company thought otherwise when I asked them. Perhaps worth asking the question of their new broker (Oriel). | qwazi
29/1/2014 18:51 | Inside2 ... I have the same issue (hsbc). Would be a buyer here if I could. Frustrating. | chrisis33
29/1/2014 15:03 | The technology they were working with was hugely promising before China drowned it is probably the main reason. It is a very good company, good management, about to make delivery. dyor | norbus
29/1/2014 14:59 | Given how difficult these are to trade, make you wonder how they ever got to >£4! | wetdream
29/1/2014 12:05 | Once in profit, NAV per share of > 50p and loads of cash come into play. I bought these at around 20p whenever I could get them, clearly expecting a decent return yes, they have further to go | norbus
29/1/2014 11:11 | Why can't I buy these? My broker does not recognize the ticker | inside2
29/1/2014 09:34 | buying times/amounts are similar to the buying pattern before the rns (just after opening of either lse or nyse) so id say that the co. buying more is odds on qwazi....that 30,000 sell was swallowed immediately (without a belch)...now if norbus' nose isnt being fooled..there is a long way up to go..but as he says...bout time | auks
29/1/2014 08:46 | smelling profits? bout time; | norbus
17/1/2014 08:32 | A buyback of shares. Surprised they didn't do it sooner with all the cash they've got. Wonder if they are planning on doing any more. | qwazi
09/1/2014 09:19 | Pflm is just a punt.shares are difficult to trade. Co. Is invisible in the uk, to investors and the financial community in general. The company still has the appearance of a hobby for the principle owners. A niche co. That's been overwhelmed by the wider solar market. Shame. | wetdream
08/1/2014 10:48 | 2013 results will give us a clue as to any progress being made as I am not expecting an update before then unless they get a contract or sale worth announcing. Results last year were released on 18th March so a couple of months to go so you never know! Anyway they should be considerably better than the first half. Very fortunate as my av. @ 4.94p will hopefully prove to be a good move but it was a leap of faith in their technology, Bushnell partnership, US military contract & their cash / available funds position as well as their very cheap price rather than any big ideas for future massive growth. However I am very positive about mobile device charging in general. So I think it will be a long game here although their new man may ignite a touch paper and spur the old boys into some positive proactive action!! You never know! | barrieb
08/1/2014 10:04 | asparks So am I. | varies
08/1/2014 09:44 | 50% rise so far in last month. Shame I am sitting on huge loss still | asparks
19/12/2013 13:44 | Hope springs eternal. Amen to that | norbus
18/12/2013 16:20 | All looking good for a prosperous 2014! | wetdream
06/12/2013 13:55 | This seems like a very good appointment. Perhaps we are going to see some action now!! Rick Brimeyer Elected Non-Executive Chairman 5 December 2013, LONDON, UK and AMES, IOWA - PowerFilm®, Inc. (AIM: PFLM), ("PowerFilm" or "the Company"), the developer and manufacturer of thin flexible solar panels, today announces that Rick Brimeyer has been elected Non-Executive Chairman of PowerFilm, Inc. Rick will replace Frank Jeffrey as Chairman of the Board. Frank Jeffrey will continue to serve as CEO. Mr. Brimeyer has been a PowerFilm Non-Executive Director since July 2012. He has extensive experience in process improvement of manufacturing operations. Mr. Brimeyer is the President of Brimeyer LLC, an independent management consulting firm located in Ames, Iowa, which guides organizations to higher performance by focusing on process improvement. Prior to founding his own company, Mr. Brimeyer enjoyed a 25-year career at Sauer-Danfoss, a worldwide leader in the design, manufacture and sale of engineered hydraulic and electronic systems and components, used primarily in mobile equipment. His career includes more than 22 years in leadership positions in engineering, operations and continuous improvement. While at Sauer-Danfoss, he served as the Six Sigma Master Black Belt for the company's North American plants and was the lead Lean practitioner for the North American Propel division. Mr. Brimeyer is the author of 5S Leader's Field Guide: Practical Advice for Establishing a Healthy 5S Culture Within Your Organization. "We are pleased to have Rick as Chairman of the Board of PowerFilm. As Chairman he will provide leadership on important company initiatives, along with his continued work on manufacturing improvements," commented Frank Jeffrey, Co-Founder and CEO. | barrieb
25/11/2013 15:49 | For me the principal worry is that PFLM may decide as an economy to dispense with its quotation on AIM (as did Silanis, another North America based company). The pretext might be, as with SNS, that there was very little trade in the shares and, when holders wanted to sell, the only buyers were associates of the directors based elsewhere. For this reason the appointment of new brokers is promising even though they do not seem very committed yet. | varies
25/11/2013 11:27 | Norbus Reply as follows :- May thanks for your email. I cannot confirm exact timing of a potential note but I can confirm that as part of the broking services that we provide to Powerfilm we will look to initiate coverage on the Company in due course and provide regular updates thereafter. So nothing in the near future!! However that does not mean a positive RNS will not be released in the near future!! | barrieb
25/11/2013 09:20 | BarrieB My note saw a twitch and thought they may be less dead than Nomura Code. Now I see the shares sink lower. They have to be a buy if they are not going to end up a basket case. Give the broker a call and I will follow up after ; I had been in touch with the company and am prepared for a pleasant surprise | norbus
19/11/2013 10:21 | yes, the headline is 'Glug,glug,glug....M ;-) | wetdream
12/11/2013 18:55 | Norbus, what is meant by your post 'first blood for Oriel'? Have they produced a note? TIA BB | barrieb
12/11/2013 17:30 | Yup-looking good. | wetdream
