The bad Cobalt news also reported on ADVFN here: "Glencore PLC (GLEN.LN) on Wednesday said it will stop producing at its Mutanda mine by the year end and reported a miss of analysts' expectations for adjusted Ebitda in the first half of 2019." Glencore said Mutanda will continue to evaluate its operations and production at the mine will recommence production once economic conditions sufficiently improve http://uk.advfn.com/stock-market/london/glencore-GLEN/share-news/Glencore-to-Stop-Production-at-Mutanda-Mine-in-Con/80488157 Doesn't auger well imho DYOR

Samsung SDI sees battery demand growth accelerating "Samsung SDI expects huge increases in sales and improved profitability as automakers prepare to roll out new and redesigned EVs and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles" "Demand for EV batteries is growing even faster. Rival South Korean battery producer LG Chem said last week that global demand for EV batteries will rise almost fivefold by 2024 to 569GWh." hTTps://www.argusmedia.com/en/news/1949832-samsung-sdi-sees-battery-demand-growth-accelerating

Oh dear ! Battery metals struggling as Glencore plans to shut down world's largest cobalt mine due to it no longer being economically viable. Https://www.ft.com/content/8cd1fd7a-b86c-11e9-96bd-8e884d3ea203 GLENCORE TO HALT PRODUCTION AT WORLD'S LARGEST COBALT MINE "Glencore is to halt production at the world's largest cobalt mine from the end of this year following a dramatic fall in prices for the key battery metal. The Switzerland-based miner led by billionaire Ivan Glasenberg will shut Mutanda mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which is also a significant producer of copper, because it is 'no longer economically viable', according to a letter to employees of the mine seen by the Financial Times." " 'Unfortunately due to the significant decrease in the cobalt price, increased inflation across some of our key input costs (mainly sulphuric acid) and the additional taxes imposed by the mining code, the mine is no longer economically viable over the long term',the letter to employees at Mutanda said." "The price of cobalt has fallen more than 40 per cent this year because of a surge of supply from the DRC, the world's largest producer."

What I like about this company is the forthright views of the CEO and his promise to constantly update the market on developments. I saw him present at the Shares meeting and was very impressed. I have a small holding.....which I may have to increase!

"All told it adds up to a whole lot of upside for comparatively little outlay. If, say the Katoro price moved on exploration success, the read-across to Power Metal would be straightforward enough. A 10p Katoro share price would translate to 1.9mln on the Power Metal balance sheet, roughly the value of the entire company at the moment."

POW holding KAT moving up strongly today. --- "#gold up 1.4% #nickel up 3.23% #KAT @KatoroGoldplc has 755,000 ounces gold & targeting one million ounces - & major nickel sulphide interest. Seems to be perfectly positioned & now share price reacting." hTTps://twitter.com/pauljohnson9691/status/1158337445806714882

Can't imagine anyone would buy into another Andrew Bell company after his devastation of RRR and RGM. Both companies SPs utterly trashed via endless dilution. Both had nominal share values reduced from 0.1p to 0.01p so dilution could continue, both saw SPs trashed further, both then had share consolidations and both have had SPs trashed further since then. Same old Modus Operandi. Bell has continued to take lucrative salaries throughout and expended millions and millions on Admin and other expenses. In fact about 75% of the £15m cash raised from 2012 to 2017 was frittered away on expenses. That's £11m+ !!! Now he's moved here as Chairman to Power Metals with Johnson. Why on earth would I touch this with a barge pole ?! DYOR

“We have only been able to get involved because of the depressed market for mining exploration,” he added. “In normal business conditions these type of opportunities just don’t become available, so we are pushing ahead as hard as possible.” Paul Johnson [...] Sorry link to Proactive Investors interview will not post:

Tis very quiet here as the news comes slowly seeping in; building (one hopes) to a crescendo of noise in the near(ish) future. Win or lose it's been fun being here.

Has anyone else noticed that on the TSI website it claims to own 11.26% of ABM (now called POW). hTTps://twoshields.co.uk But on the POW (Power Metal Resources) Website it still states as 13.6.19 it is only 4.24 % hTTps://www.powermetalresources.com/p/159/aim-rule-26 What am I missing?! Can POW or TSI please ammend accordingly. I phoned POW to query but the number given on their website appears to be the share registrars who denied all knowledge or responsability.

This is really a flipology share as there is not really enough cash to do that much more. My view is, that there is deep down not really a commitment to go that far with Haneti or Kisinka, or indeed hold KAT stock beyond selling into a big jump in the share price. There are slight possibilities of getting a 6% nickel result or 700 metres copper at 2.8% so a major sees interest. Unlikely to become a SolGold. As Torp implies there is the Andrew Bell factor and it is your call on whether that is good or very much less good.
